#1 Posted: 5/9/2012 2:15:22 AM I don't think ANYBODY can explain Miami goes from an away game to a home game and THE SPREAD ONLY GOES UP 3 POINTS
It was -8 last time, -11 now

#8 Posted: 5/9/2012 2:25:42 AM what you can say on the other side is the knix won the last game, it was -8. public remembers the last game and stoudemire so they're set on betting knix
anyways bizarre to see a difference of only 3 points home-to-away in the playoffs

#11 Posted: 5/9/2012 2:31:52 AM I try and stay away from how I feel vegas is thinking and go strictly on how I feel about matchups/situation, however that said my theme song for the night is Echo Friendly - Same Mistakes

#12 Posted: 5/9/2012 2:37:53 AM lol. it was -10/11 the first two games. then shifted to nyk for game 3 and was -5. where the knicks got battered. so it would be normal for vegas to increase the line to -8 in game 4. to equal out action.
HCA just accounts for 5-8 points in the spread in these playoffs. miami -16 would just be ridiculous. |

#14 Posted: 5/9/2012 3:08:19 AM Miami cashed those early two for me this series. Didn't they cover both games and the 1H's? I think I played 3 out of the 4 of those and they all hit. I'm thinking this game is like those ones.
Nvm I just looked and the second game pushed.
Knicks are spotty as hell and that last game played like that just so they could save some pride. Melo's gonna get all his usual shots plus more, and they'll still lose by DD. |

Miami won G3 easily and then line got inflated from -5.5 to -8. Then they lost outright. So it adjusts back to NYK.
If you compare -11 to -5.5, then the disparity isn't so bad.
NYK made such a huge deal about ending the 13 game playoff losing streak. Woodson talked about it. So did Melo and Amare. They accomplished their main goal of the playoffs being down 3-0.
There's no way they'll have any energy left for G5. Plus, all the decent ballhandlers are hurt.
Miami should crush NYK tomorrow. |

I agree with composite on this one. I like Miami to come out strong tonight. 11 is a lot of points to lay though. I do have them as the last leg of a teaser at -4.5.
Not sure if I will play Miami straight up or pull together another teaser for them. |

The -8 in game 4 was nothing more than a reaction to Miami winning by 33, 10 and then winning 17 in NY, after these 3 wins what would you expect the lines to do ?
The -8 in game 4 in NY is not a realistic line, you can not compare that to this game in Miami. |

#19 Posted: 5/9/2012 1:35:23 PM Good stuff guys. Amazing everyone says "this is a good line".
I've heard "wow the Knix are getting double digits!" I mean WOW didn't they just win the last game? lol If you guys remember, as I said, EVERYONE was on Miami thinking the Knix were gonna fold
And with that...I'm on Miami -6.5 1st half
