Many people get stuck to one athlete, or hero, etc... but although I disagree about how great Chavez was at least he DeHoyos writes about a modern day gutsy fighter (unlike most other fighters people mention). I've seen the quotes that people have respect for anyone who laces up... Yes, so do I. There is a degree to what is respect, and what is sensational. With average speed and reflexes, but a master ring technician an one of the hardest trained and ring fighters. But, yes, it does get redundant with the same info.

#191 Posted: 9/7/2012 1:11:35 AM 6 weeks later you keep a thread going that is dead and should be taken off as first off it is technically wrong, and all you do is add to it to keep it going as it remain your greatest accomplishment to date.

#196 Posted: 9/10/2012 8:00:00 PM Michael Wilbon : I know he is a sports commentator, which usually means that most are clueless, even in their sport of expertise. They comment, not analyze or handicap. Often they are the worst source of information regarding a sports matchup. I think it was the late Bob McCune (long time handicapper and one of the first to produce any good handicapping material. He once wrote, listening to sports commentators or broadcasters as they breakdown a sports matchup appears to be one of the daggers to the avid handicapper. Usually they are only privy to info they are given my a network, and thus can lead a handicapper that's on the fence for a game over to the wrong side. He wrote that before others were on the bandwagon!
Most top athletes are not cowards, especially anyone who steps in to the ring. Mayweather has been considered the #1 lbs4lbs fighter (or somewhere in 99% peoples top ten) for many years almost nearing a decade. I don't think a coward would be that able to accomplish that!
If you are not considering Mayweather not fighting Manny a reason to
call him a coward, what is your basis on the man's basis for being a
coward?
