#2 Posted: 10/25/2011 12:34:39 AM Hard to believe they could lose to this Jacksonville team. Cost me a 16 Unit win on Parlays/Tease's... Had BAL -7, -1, +3... thought at worst-case they would win by 3. TONS of people lost.... looks like the Fix was In tonight. Vegas was on the hook for TONS of $$$. I know I wasn't the only one with a big payout riding on this one. Just hard to believe BAL could play so shitty tonight. Still wondering why they didn't FORCE Jax to Throw to beat them... |

#3 Posted: 10/25/2011 12:48:35 AM How exactly was this set up? Why did chicago roll as a favorite last sunday night and then the jets as a big favorite over miami last monday?
Was the book's master plan to wait till tonight to get their money back?
It's the NFL. Any team can beat any other team. And yet people are still amazed when it happens as if they have never seen something like it before.
Gamblers have such short, fucked up memories.
Keep telling yourself it isnt your brain costing you money, it's all of the rigged games. |

#7 Posted: 10/25/2011 1:16:27 AM I know for a fact that there is a super secret underground bunker complex below the strip where they secretly control all the sporting events world wide. The mere lack of anybody knowing anything about the complex is proof positive it exists. Everybody knows that all pro football players have to visit Vegas and stay in a hotel on the strip. On the first night of the players visit they are abducted and taken into the super secret bunker complex and have a mind control chip implanted. Thant is how Vegas fixes the games.
If you doubt me PROVE me wrong.

#11 Posted: 10/25/2011 1:26:21 AM game wasn't a setup for the following reasons:
1. Always back the home dog on MNF, been doing this for 15yrs. 2. When Balt beat Pitt, the following week lost to Ten a game which they should have won. 3. Jax played a strong game vs Pitt last week losing by 4pts.
Not saying Jax was an obvious win, but I was comfortable taking the risk on the home dog on MNF.
What I've learned over the years (watch it jinx now), is:
1. take the over on SNF 2. take the home dog on MNF 3. take the teams that HAVE to win to keep their hopes realistic (i.e. Atl, Chi, Dal) 4. Watch the line movement. (Buf opened at 4, now at 6, I locked in at 6). This works on totals also.
I stopped thinking emotionally long ago on NFL. Pick your spots.
Point is: Jax was the right play, you just didn't study the game enough.

#18 Posted: 10/25/2011 7:59:48 AM Already knew this was coming. Look at how many people bet on Ravens. It's a no-brainer to side with Ravens if almost everyone picked them to win. I went opposite with looking at an upset and can't believe they won the game. Records<Money, NFL is all about gambling. :) |

#19 Posted: 10/25/2011 8:17:00 AM It's simple! Ravens aren't good enough to lay double digits to ANYONE! Not sure why everyone thinks the Ravens are so good -- THEY'RE NOT!

#20 Posted: 10/25/2011 8:40:22 AM Such hindsight bias....
Every time there is an upset, somebody says
"It was obvious Vegas was going to put the fix in and make this happen"
If it was so obvious, why didn't you bet on Jacksonville?!?!

#21 Posted: 10/25/2011 9:28:54 AM I passed the game, I like bal -10 but had a bad feeling, I liked the under too and 39 seemed low, I would have bet at 41, I was so wrong.
2nd half I parlayed Jags +6 and Under 17 |
