#1 Posted: 8/18/2012 1:32:54 PM I play in a 14 team, 5 player keeper league. We keep 3 rookies, but we keep them for 5 years. We start 2 RB's and 3 WR's. My other rookie keepers are Matt Forte and Mike Williams (TB). Who do I keep?
Leaning to Titus Young right now.....................

#2 Posted: 8/19/2012 11:49:55 AM Titus Young---tons of ability and has Calvin to keep pressure off of him. Just my 2 cents.
I plan on grabbing him in my draft. |

#3 Posted: 8/19/2012 1:02:19 PM I like them both, but I choose Ridley. Over the last 2 seasons, Green-Ellis as the Patriots' lead back racked up over 1900 rushing and receiving yards and 24 TDs. Ridley is widely viewed to be a better potential talent and a better receiving option as well. If Ridley could just match those numbers for a few years, I can't see where Young could possibly do any better. |

Thanks Getty. Up until this week, I've been leaning to Ridley. The "leg" injury suffered this week has me second guessing myself. I actually just traded Forte for Matt Ryan and a draft pick. QB's score tons of points in my league, and Forte loses his rookie eligibility this year. It would be nice to have a #1 RB for the next 4 years. Ridley's fumbling is a concern, as is the presence of Shane Vereen.
As it stands right now my keepers go like this:
Franchise: Greg Jennings, Eric Decker Rookies: Matt Ryan, Mike Williams, ??????
We also keep a player drafted in the 9th round or later, last year. I have Titus Young for this position, but I would lose him next year if I don't keep him as a rookie keeper. So I could still have him this year. Ridley does not qualify for a 9+ keeper.
Thanks for stopping by Getty.

I hope so. He needs to hang onto the football, or he will not get out of Belichik's doghouse.

#10 Posted: 8/20/2012 7:54:21 PM Thanks for the replies gentleman. Keepers were turned in today............
Franchise: Greg Jennings, Eric Decker Rookies: Matt Ryan '08, Mike Williams '10, Stevan Ridley '11 After 9: Titus Young
Have the 5th pick in the 1st round. Not real sure what is going to be available at this point, but I need a couple decent RB's. 14 team leagues can be tough. Really have to draft who you like. Can't sit around and wait for players to fall in your lap.

#11 Posted: 8/20/2012 9:12:45 PM Have Doug Martin on my radar for my first pick. Need a RB, and he's a rookie. I love Aaron Hernandez this year, but this league puts such a heavy emphasis on rookies. Maybe Hernandez will be available in the second, but I doubt it. Just some random thoughts. |

#12 Posted: 8/20/2012 9:13:49 PM I am assuming that Luck, RG III, and Richardson will go 1,2,3. |

#13 Posted: 8/22/2012 1:38:05 PM In my opinion keep Ridley. He has a bigger upside now that green-ellis is gone Ridley might see a good amount of work. Titus young is 3rd on his team to Calvin Johnson and Pettigrew. I say Ridley just because of his bigger upside |

Thanks ianrod. I agree. I went ahead and kept Ridley as a rookie, but also kept Young as an after 9th round pick from last year. Thanks for stopping by.

#15 Posted: 8/23/2012 9:54:19 PM I know you already decided, but is it a PPR league? Not sure if I missed that.
Just remember Detroit throws way more than New England runs. Plus you know Belichick loves Woodhead. |
