#1 Posted: 4/8/2012 3:30:44 PM Definately love my Spurs, but really scratching my head on tonight's game. First off, let me just say that they should win easily...but crush, I can't say. I'm not willing to settle for -550+ on just a 'W'; so lets talk this one over...and lets all profit!
At first glance, the spread looked reasonable. Add to that the Jazz have 4 of their starting 5 players listed as PROB. So now I'm thinking TGTBT?!?! But we all know "when it looks too good..."
In the Spurs' last out, every player got involved, and no one played more than 2Q worth! The talent overflows, simply. Both teams will have their days of rest, which probably does more for Utah. I see the Spurs leading comfortably, and Pop probably bringing Tim and Tony in for most of the resting. As we all know by now, Pop is all about keeping guys rested (esp late nearing playoffs), and he's never really been about running up the score...just securing a win. With that said, I can see the Jazz getting closer in the stretches of resting; closer to covering, but not winning. Add to THAT, the refs for the game look to "favor" teams that are DD Dogs. I've hate to bring up blaming a ref, but I definately see them bringing the game closer than we all think--thus, affecting the spread.
Bottom line is the Spurs barely have the 1 seed; they are in dire need of securing home court throughout. Utah is outside looking in, but the 6-7-8 spots are still a toss-up (8th for sure). I know it's just one game...so pardon the rant. What do ya'll think?? UNDER....COVER....too few games to pass on tonight |
