#1 Posted: 10/7/2012 10:16:10 PM I understand that this is a classic trap spot and Vandy just won a game but this line is too low. Vandy will go through hell and back trying to move the ball consistently and they simply will not be able to stop the Gator running game. It would take a really bad showing Vandy to cover this line. This is the same team that lost to Northwestern
Jimmy, time for your rebuttal.

#2 Posted: 10/7/2012 10:22:32 PM Really boring game where the Gators Defense will most likely dominate. Can the Gators score enough to prevent a possible backdoor? Bad spot for Florida and Vandy does play better at home.

#3 Posted: 10/7/2012 10:36:59 PM I'm with Laroja. Think UF goes through the motions here and this game is close with a possible Vandy cover. Awaiting Freak's analysis as well.

#4 Posted: 10/7/2012 10:52:03 PM Vandy has history working in their favor somewhat, they always play Florida better when we are unbeaten or highly ranked. 1996 it happened, 2006 it happened.. Florida won the NC both those seasons and I was at both of those games oddly enough and will be at this one. The different thing about this year is we never play Vanderbilt this early in the season, for as many years as I can remember now UF plays them in November. |

#5 Posted: 10/7/2012 10:54:42 PM The 2008 NC team beat Vandy really and the last two visits there have been blowouts but they have much better teams now obviously so history only goes so far. Usually the problem with this game is UF is ALWAYS coming off of a big game and the players have said playing in that atmosphere is laughable after the stadiums they see in the SEC. I imagine this time Vandy will have some fans there for a night game against a top 5 team. |

Florida is impressive to me but not an explosive team, I would lean Florida -7 if I had to play the game for sure, no way I would bet Vandy but I may feel more comfortable on the under as I don't see Vandy moving the ball very well |

#10 Posted: 10/7/2012 11:16:36 PM My initial thought agreed with you jwheels. I don't expect many points. Could be a 24-10 type of game. I jumped on UF -7, but it does somewhat concern me that UF sometimes plays down to their competition (like the BG game earlier) and this game is sandwiched between LSU & So Car. |

but A&M's offense and UT are top 15 in the nation and UF held them to less than half of their normal average per game. That is the difference. |

#14 Posted: 10/8/2012 6:44:34 PM Florida's offense is God awful. One solid performance against a Tennessee team that couldn't stop anybody even if they put 15 guys on the field. If LSU doesn't lose most of their LBs, I highly doubt Florida even scores in that game. The only other time Vandy played a good team at home this year, they put the clamps down on SCar and barely lost.
So many better games out there. Under is probably good at anything more than 41. Otherwise why even make a play on this game? |

#17 Posted: 10/8/2012 7:25:14 PM IMO, Vandy is decent but not in Florida's class. I expect the Gators to be bored but still win by 17+. Vandy might have 3 players max that Florida would want. Don't over-think the home field advantage here. Have you ever been to a Vandy game in Nashville? I've been to a lot. The few fans that are there are sitting on their hands waiting on Vandy to lose the game. Nuff said.

#20 Posted: 10/8/2012 7:56:45 PM My 5* this week is Vandy +9. UF may win, but it will be a nail-biter. But GL with whatever you decide. |
