Have you looked at all of their pre conference schedules as to who they have beat and who they have lost to? If they get 10 teams in this is a joke.

South Florida has losses to Penn St., Old Dominnion, VCU (LIke this team and has gotten better but again against Big East teams.)

Cincinatti losses to Xavier, Presbityrian, Marshall, (Skeptical that after the brawl no players were suspended in Big East play)

Notre Dame Losses to Georgia, Maryland (Yea they got hot but against other Big East teams)

Now all I am trying to say is that this conference is by far not near the top conference. I would put them behind BIG 12, BIG10, SEC, and ACC. There is no way they should get 10 invites if that happens.

I truly think that mid majors should be given a chance or another conference.

Yep

People keep claiming USF should be in why because they beat teams with barely above 500 season records and dominated shitty big east teams, big accomplishment. The only big east teams that have done well out of conference are g-twn, marquette and cuse. Look at notre dame they lost to lowly behind maryland, a team this is not making the tourney, why? because they didnt get to beat up on mostly cupcakes all year and had to play in the acc and have one of the toughest acc schedules. Granted ND had some good home wins, Out of conference and on the road they were garbage. The fact they are even ranked is a disgrace.

it is a down year in the big east, but usf should def make the tourney....you really can think of 60 teams better than them?  i dont think so....and keep in mind most of those bad losses occured when they didnt have their starting pg..

I can easily think of 60 teams better than USF. Who have they beaten. They have 1 win against a ranked team, south florida does not deserve to be in the tourney. Weak out of conference schedule and they lost.  Lost to PSU, lost to ODU, lost to So. Miss, loss to vcu, loss to kansas, loss to auburn. They lost to everyone of the top 4 in the big east. They only played those teams once. They got the shitty big east teams twice. their record is totally fabricated due to their weak schedule.

Well according to Lunardi, USF is floating on the bubble so if they do beat ND tonight, even though I wouldn't call ND a great win or anything I believe they are in. Kind of shitty as ND's schedule is pretty suspect as well, but you can't deny what they did at home. I just hope drexel doesnt get snubbed, they played great down the stretch and could easily make a run in the tourney.

They sure did could you tell me who the two losses were to?

The one and only UCF I know they have Michael Jordans kid so they must be good and also lost to Tennessee.

Their "quality" nonconference games were Harvard yep the solid Ivy league school. Arkansas not quality but one of their best nonconference wins by the way Arkansas on the road horrid. And they beat Florida St by 2 on a neutral court back when FSU was struggling on offense they gave up 76 pts.

This doesn't really have anything to do with USF because I am actually kind of cheering for them. Hey they atleast have a winning record in conference and that does say something but it is the fact that their are so many teams they have getting in to the tournament and I really don't think its a very good conference.

Conference Rankings

  1. Big Ten
  2. Big 12
  3. Big East
  4. SEC
  5. ACC

These seem to be the overall majority rankings of all major statistical websites

In denial of what? Big East isn't the best conference this year but it isn't overrated. All of the losses he pointed to were very early in the year.

I really believe with Nwestern's loss, they are now out, even though they played well at home vs some strong teams they couldn't pull out victories.  Now, will the committee look at them and the tougher schedule over say a team like Drexel.  Also, South Florida's win over Villanova may push the boat, if the Bulls beat ND they are 100% in.  Now, if Texas loses tonight, this will open some doors, I think a win by Texas gets them in.

So I see, Xavier, UCONN, SFLORIDA and a TEXAS win will take the bubble..lf Xavier loses, will early wins over Vanderbilt, Purdue and Cincinatti be discounted...maybe..I think those wins are enough..although they are praying Texas loses tonight.

Big East always shows up in March...I think S.FLA. needs to win tonight to make the dance.......U-Conn is in.........Atlantic 10 best mid major and very  underrated. Wichita ST best team in a small CONF. by far. I think they can get to the F-4 if everything lines up for them.....S. Florida just has not really done very good against good teams and god are they boring to watch.

wichita state is sooooo overrated. They have them as a 4th seed. a friggin 4th seed. They beat UNLV and colorado. omggggg 4th, they are the same seed as florida state right now who beat unc and duke. friggin retarded. NCAA really needs to re-evaluate some of the seedings lunardi has right now. Wichita state should not be a 4. Yes they have a good record but they beat on .500 teams in other conferences and the mvc which had two solid teams, and in the tourney they were outed by a barely .500 team and they're 4th. PLEASE!! stop with the nonsense. If they are 4th they are on upset alert.

On a related note, Colorado State's win today should move them off the bubble and into the Dance...

at least they beat two ranked teams going to the tourney. They may have been at home but solid wins.
