Can someone on this site who has actually played both indoor and outdoor hockey please give me the skinny, as far as the total is concerned, is outdoor hockey better for the over or the under?

slow ice(soft),both teams are not familiar with the Boards ,True National spotlight ,no one wants to make a mistake and so both teams are on the defensive play and team speed is nuetralized!

Pretty sure nobody has played outside in LA. I'm in Ontario and have played lots both inside and out. Outside the ice is usually either too hard or too soft depending on humidity. The only way to get a read on this is to maybe check the Humidex for the city the arena is located. They also have an ice team that's responsible for the conditions, something very few other people have ever seen in action. Unless its from someone who has played on professionally maintained, outdoor, cali ice it's a guess at best. Granted if it's going to be anything negative it'll be soft and sticky.
NHL wants to sell these games to florida and the desert. This is the test. Don't think they would host it, market it, and broad cast it nationally unless they were sure it would look good and be fun to watch.
I took the Under on the last outdoor game. Leafs vs Wings. Took a whole lot of snow to slow that game down enough to stay under. The ice should be smoother in this one (lots of weird bounces made puck control impossible in some of these) because it's the ice being too hard that causes the nicks and chips.
I've thought about this game a lot and feel it may come down to LA being the home team and getting last change. Going against LA in a home stand, div rivalry, re-match, and their wounds still sting from the last loss is always an uphill battle.
It's a good under because of the unfamiliarity of the rink, boards, etc as stated above me but I think the ice conditions are a bad idea to take an Under on unless the Humidex is way high but the game is a late one for that reason.
Leaning LA and Under (waiting for Quick to confirm)

Thanks man. I'm just trying to help (sometimes I worry I come off as a know it all person type)
I just came back because I keep hearing the Ice is soft and they are having a concert on top of it right before the game, so yeah it might be something to think about.
Leaning Under anyway based on their recent play against each other and rink being unfamiliar.
I've heard something abut the Kings schedule making it hard for them to practice because of travel and mandatory days off but I really don't know the details.
