Georgia is a 3 point fave on the road at Clemson. This is going to be a really good close game. Even though Georgia has lost a good amount on defense, I feel that Coach Richt will have them ready. Coach Richt is a GOOD coach & knows how to win each & every year & on the road (Except last year when Georgia got destroyed at S.Carolina, OUCH!!). Georgia scores a late 4th qtr TD & wins the game.

Final score: Georgia 31  Clemson 24

Line I saw today had UGA favored by 1 1/2.  I bought the half down to one and laid a good sized bet on Georgia.  Clemson will have a passionate, packed stadium on opening night but they cannot stop Georgia's offense.  Two talented RBs, big receivers, and an experienced QB gives them to much diversity.  Clemson will get their share of successes on offense two but overall UGA too much for this ACC team that is probably just 2nd in their own division to FSU.

I think it is a 10+ point win, call it 38-24----UGA covers easily.  GL to all, it is great to have CFB back.

Murray & Gurley will be too much for Clemson's D, even with home field advantage.  unless UGA gets caught looking ahead to next weeks match up vs USC, they should cover.

Georgia should not be concerned about usc ...as no one in the sec should be ...this will be a great game going with clemson Georgia has way to many issues on defense to stop the constant attack of clemson ..and @ clemson ....34-27 under 72 bol all

total up to 72.5.  all calls are for a shootout...if this were week 6, 7 or 8 I would not touch the total but defense usually ahead of the offense in first couple of games simply due to timing.  might try the low 72.5  here for a little 2u play.

Georgia lost 7 starters on defense so I'm not sure how they will react playing against Tajh Boyd and company.

Clemson tends to start off strong to start the season going 10-3 ats the past 2 years in the first half of the season.

It's the first game of the season so I don't know diddly about how both teams are going to play...So taking a wild guess before the line goes down...

Clemson at the half +2

Aloha and good luck to all

And welcome back everyone

Georgia is 15-1 against the ACC since Mark Richt became HC

(11-1 against Ga. Tech, 1-0 vs FSU, 1-0 against Va Tech and 2-0 against Clemson--five straight in the series.)

Both teams have explosive offenses and questions on defense.  The difference in the game is UGA's diversity, the running game won't be stopped with the entire OL back and the best running back combo in the nation.  Gurley and Marshall can run between the tackles, or bust you with breakaway runs.  If Clemson stacks the box, UGA has an experienced QB with solid receivers.  The ability to control the clock with the running game will keep the Clemson offense off the field enough.  Great opening game, am revising my prediction to

UGA     38         Clemson     27

I keep going back to Clemson's bowl game against LSU. Outplayed them the whole game and bad breaks and mistakes kept them from the easy win, but they got a W even so. They weren't afraid of big bad SEC there. Will that carry over? I think so.

LIKE it  Clemson at home has a better chance leading at the half!

Thsi game prolly comes down to a turnover or special team play.

Boyd vs Murray  Boyd's a gamer Murray has yet to be consistent in big games same can be siad about coach Richt however GEO has the edge rushing. IMHO this game cant be handicapped edge Clemson but I'l go with BD on the half!

72 Is a bit high for 1st game of season ..I understand clemson moves the ball fast but i like it under as georgia will be running alot ...with a lean for clemson +2  They could play in sec full time ...big game to lay points to home team . Probably do a parlay just to make the game even more exciting than it will be already ...gl to all

9 out of 10 of my models have Clemson as the better team in teh better conference.  They even have Clemsie as a slight favorite here.
Take the points and enjoy the money in the bank.  Clemson wins this outright.

Yooooo man! What up Big Drizzle! Mark Richt has never and I mean never won the big game. Georgia does not win the big games when theyre supposed to. Clemson QB hard to contain, even with the pros taking some of their players, Clemson will still be tough offensively....its gonna be a scorefest. CLEM and OV for the large.

Georgia has too much offense. They will score at will, covering the points easily.

Fools money is on Clemson.  The line is begging you to take the home dog but it's just a trap.

Dawgs have too much offense and despite the questions on D they will have enough to take the road game by more than 7 imo.
