#1 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:03:40 AM Just an observation watching this Lakers GSW game....I noticed before the game, heavy heavy heavy money was on the Lakers...
Lakers have not scored a point for over 12 minutes while the Warriors have gone on a 33 point to 0 run...
If i could recommend anything to anyone, stay away from betting the pre season...looks like it has grubby hands all over it..
Even pre season is not exempt from corruption.
Good luck |

#3 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:19:24 AM I make an observation that huge huge money was on the Lakers prior to this game. I am curious as to why such large money was on a pre season game.
I took an interest in the game, the Warriors go on a 33-0 run.
Take it for what its worth, but dont try and make this a PERSONAL attack on me.
If you have anything to say, respond to my comment.

I saw on my book the line pop from 5 to 5.5...then back down to 5.

#5 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:30:22 AM Rostos...Just a heads up.
Lakers opened -215 this AM and were steamed to -252 in 30 mins. Then the reality set in that Howard is recovering..Kobe too. Dropped all the way to -166 by noon. Creeped all the way back to -214 before tip because people SEE LAKERS and last game of the night easy chase Lakers only laying -5.
This game had GS win written all over it. |

#6 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:33:17 AM So what if a large sum was bet on a big favorite. It's not the first time a big favorite has lost. The Laker scrubs played in the 2nd....why would anybody be surprised the Lakers lost! Do you really think the Lakers planned on letting the Warriors go on a 33-0 run. garbage happens like this all the time. I'm sure tons of money was bet on the Packers today, and look what happened. They had a large lead after the 1st half. |

#7 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:36:06 AM Whos behind the line though? A $200 wager on Lakers ML? or do the books just move it to see if any action comes in on the other side...

#8 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:37:46 AM Why don't you bet against the public team? You've observed time and time again that most public teams got screwed by gambling bosses. Maybe you should try wagering on the other side of the fence? |

I was sniffing around with my book, my book is unique because the line doesnt adjust, but the price does....The price went from $1.90 down to $1.60.....
That indicates a ridicolous amount of cash on the Lakers....I just found it very very odd that there was that amount of cash on a pre season game...'So i had a look...I noticed the Lakers didnt score a single point for over 13 mins....the Warriors went on a 33-0 run.
Just saying, BE CAREFUL, thats all, cant a human being tell his fellow human beings to be careful.

Dont you know how to read? A LARGE LARGE amount of cash on a pre season game with so many uncertainties? Cmon...
Then a team doesnt score for over 13 mins...
JUST BE CAREFUL, that all i am saying..An official in this league has already been charged and sent to jail for corrupting games, and if you think the league is sqeaky clean is akin to saying because the police have busted a drug operation, no other drugs get through...
My message is, BE CAREFUL!! |

#13 Posted: 10/8/2012 1:28:52 AM People have a serious problem if they think games may be fixed and still bet on them....and then cry after they lose because the game just had to have been fixed for them to lose. |

I see where your coming from -- but honestly, I think the books move these lines regardless of whether or not money is being wagered. |

Never said you did bet on the game, but you obviously you think the NBA is corrupt...you said it. Who are the people who may have their "grubby hands" on the outcome of games? If the Lakers were outscored 33-0 in one stretch of the 2nd, then maybe the entire bench was in on the fix. I saw plenty of bad calls in the Sunday night NFL game, maybe the NFL is corrupt as well. |

#18 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:18:00 PM Saw the game, Lakers bench << Warriors bench. Warriors bench had more reasons to play for than the Lakers during preseason. |

#20 Posted: 10/8/2012 5:07:12 PM For a while it looked like the Laker's bench (practice players mostly imo) vs. Golden States starters. I like the addition of Jack on the Warriors, he is a thug and he covers spreads. |

My bad, i will just go off now thinking NBA players are unlike other human beings, they arent fallable. I mean, in the association, no one every has been charged for fixing games, no player has been convicted for posession of illicit substances. No player has ever been shown to root around , cheating on their wives and families.
Lets just carry on and pretend that NBA players are different to every other human being and arent subject to the same temptations as every other human that has been on earth.
But hang on, NBA players earn millions, why would they risk it? yes, good question. Maybe you should ask Italian superstar soccer players who earn arguably just as much as NBA players yet had to have their whole league cancelled because it was rife with match fixing... |

#24 Posted: 10/9/2012 1:22:50 AM Simple: the public was betting the lakers as they are the garbage!
Bets don't influence how the game is played on the court and there is a reason the lakers looked like garbage in the 2nd half because they played the guys who aren't gonna make the roster.
I know conspiracy theorists think every ref is a Donaughy |
