Chuck is making his return from his k.o. Fight with leukemia, in front of a home crowd, against our divisional rival that has nothing to play for. I know his story was mentioned quite a bit throughout the season, but it really has been a motivation for this team and our city. It's clear that the team has been playing for more than wins this year, and what better way to end an already unbelievable regular season effort by winning the last game for coach. Not to mention, we've had an unusual amount of snow fall this week and the city is suffering from a case of cabin fever...Lucas Oil will be loud.
Colts aren't a better football team than the Texans, but they have a lot more to play for this week. I rarely bet on Colts games bc of my bias as a fan, but this is by far the best game on the board this week. My money will be on the Horse +6.5 (-110), with a little something extra on the ML +230.

Colts could be the biggest frauds going to the playoffs with losses to Jax and the Jets. Still I agree that today they might knock off Hou, and as a Pats fan I'm rooting for sure, just not putting any loot on it.

I like your thoughts here. I'm liking the Under 46.5 due to the cold weather and I expect Houston to pound the run game. What's your thoughts on this total? Appreciated thx.

The Colts finish 5th with a win or loss, so why would they risk hurting their starters once the Texans come out overly agressive. I cannot see Luck or most WR playing in the second half.
The Texans need the win here today to clinch 1st and home field throughout the playoffs. If the Texans lose and the Broncos and Pats win, they lose their bye.

If Polian was still around, I could see the angle of sitting starters, but this is a young team that can't afford a week off heading into the playoffs. And why would they sit the starters? Sure, they took advantage of a piss poor division and are coming off of a 2 win season. Can you imagine the reaction and heat the front office would get if they sit the starters in fear of injury? It's a new regime in Indy and I don't believe they follow precedent this time around. If Houston had so much to play for, it sure didn't help last week.
I think colts keep it close, with a chance to win late. 24-27 type of game
