#26 Posted: 5/13/2012 7:51:10 PM Baker managed the Giants choke job in 2002 vs. the Angels- I was in the stands that night and not only did he claim the series was over in the 8th inning of game 6, but he led his team to lay COMPLETELY down in game 7, and for good measure, he did the same thing with the Cubs vs. the Marlins 2 years later-you say no one could come back from those tough loses? Check out Hall of Fame manager, Sparky Anderson-who led the Reds over the Sox in game 7 after the Fisk homer in game 6, on the road...in the toughest of places....
This guy is the most overrated mgr. of all time.... |

#28 Posted: 5/19/2012 4:51:14 PM Bad..he is on crack or just plain stupid..Arredondo has really developed and can handle the set up or closer role. Aroldis is the obvious choice to close with Arredondo as the set up man. Dusty is trying to find ways to lose..Marshall is soft. |

#29 Posted: 5/19/2012 4:56:40 PM Madson was going to be the set up guy until his injury. I'd start aroldis..I live in cincy and he would pack the house every time he starts. Ondrusek could set up arredondo. Arredondo has wicked split finger and is way better than Marshall. Just as a business decision they should move aroldis into the starting rotation ...he would pack the ballpark. We all want to see aroldis start here in cincy. If not..he's got to be the closer and Marshall cud mop up in long relief. He is terrible. |

#31 Posted: 5/19/2012 5:02:01 PM the yankess had no chance against chapman. marshall's fastball had no chance against the yankees. yet, there was marshall in the 9th. that dusty baker baseball.

ill give him credit for that. i started this thread a few weeks ago and it was the same thing. reds won but they had to pull marshall and ordonsek saved them. the only reason they didnt lose both those games was because they had 3 run leads so hes not going to get the heat of a loss. |

yeah, i just posted this in badlands other thread. a smart move. you know sometimes players will get the day off on sunday, i'm assuming dusty got the day off today. marshall should be back in the closer role tomorrow.
