Is there an easier formula I can use for this. For instance: left(B1,everything left of "-")
I think this formula will get you what you are looking for...
=LEFT(B1,FIND("-",B1)-1)

Hey Guys, glad to see you are still at it. Really sick of all these posers in here claiming they have a "System".

Good luck this year.

Degen,

Nice work! I finally got around to taking a good look at the spreadsheet. Fine bit of coding my friend, simple clean. What would be cool is you had some pre-configured searches, common stuff with some variables.

Here are 4 excel spreadsheet that will allow you to import NBA, NHL, MLB, NHL Game / ATS results from Covers. All you have to do is select the SEASON you want to import from the dropdown and click the "IMPORT" button. The game logs for all the teams will be downloaded to the Covers Data tab.

if you want you can clear the blue cells in the Covers Data tab and start over or add to it. Anytime you import a season it is pasted below the last row.

Highlight the column that has the date and then right click and go down to format? I think. I'm not at a computer. Hit I think the first tab and click on the date option to make the date one format. I'm going by memory so I hope that's right.

QUOTEI tried NBA spreadsheet but it seemed that the latest results I could get is 2012-2013 season. The spreadsheet is locked so that I couldn't manually input the number of season. Is there any way to get the new results?

Mikey,

Yes Degen and others made some awesome stuff to use in this thread.  If you want the 2013-2014 season to download you can unhide column "O".  to do this highlight on the letters N & P, right click, choose unhide.  you should see column O open up and will have the years present.  Just overwrite the 2012-2013 year with 2013-2014.  in the drop down in cell C7 you will se the year.  if you want the other years prior to 2013-2014 just continue overwriting the years down that column.   Hope that works for you.

The date formatting screws up sometimes.
Does anyone have a quick fix? Or do i have to manually correct it?

Nice work, thanks

..I've made this calculator and I find it to be a useful tool. So, if it can help you.. ..I'll be glad.

www.advancedbetcalc.com/Downloads.aspx

(It has adds that I cannot remove just for this occasion, so please don't go there if you think that would not be appropriate. Just wanted to join this "help a fellow" action :), really wouldn't want to be called a spammer..)

Cheers
