You are very cool and I am honored to be the topic of your 22nd post.  I'm really relieved to know that you will be checking all posts to make sure proper word usage is in order!  Bravo!

Sometimes it's difficult to make coherent statements without proper word usage.  And yes, you are correct, i do have an aura of coolness about me.

What it means is this: no matter what happens, SEC has at least 3 teams in the top six or so - no matter how many times they lose to one another, they ALWAYS have at least one team in the championship, and/or at least another 3 in the BCS so they get the $$$.

BTW, ESPN/ABC which has rights to televise most of these games has contractually invested $2B in which conference?  The SEC - none other.  Do you think they have just a tiny bit of influence in deciding the mysterious factors no one can precisely define that determine BCS rankings?  The collusion of financial interest that is so deafeningly silent on all the networks makes a conspiracy theorist of us all ....

GW

The only thing incorrect about this statement is ESPN just signed a comparable TV contract with the Big 12, so we shall see how long it takes for them to have multiple teams in the top 10.

You are correct tideman. Leak played the game of his life that day and UF totally outplayed OSU. I would however have liked to see how the game would have played out if we had our biggest threat for more than just the opening kickoff(everyone saw what happened there). Also, NEITHER team deserved to be in NC game the following year, but a 2 loss team NEVER deserves to be in NC game with this format. Both teams backdoored their way in. If the 2 loss team wasn't from the SEC everybody would've been crying fowl.

Its called ESPN over-ranking the team to over-hype the game!!! Not based on anything but hype factor!!!!

LSU couldnt line up and beat a ton of teams behind them!!!!

The two best teams in college football are #1alabama and #2 oregon. Both of these teams did not play the hardest teams, but the teams they played it was no contest. How many other teams can say that, possibly kansas state. oregon will show you why they are oregon this week. THEY WILL BEAT USC BY 20+ early and possibly a minor come back to around 10-20 points. OREGON AND ALABAMA ARE NO JOKE. notre dame did play amazing in oklahoma, but they also have plenty of wins where they struggled

Oregon's schedule has been an absolute joke thus far and as a result, Oregon has blown everybody out.  I am not saying that the Ducks are not an awesome team.  I am saying that they have no argument to be in the top 3 as a result.  Even playing USC, who just lost to Arizona, shouldn't make a strong case either.  Oregon is going to have to dominate USC to make a statement to get into the top 3.  Oregon State is all of the sudden dropping down the charts by losing to an unranked opponent.  Oregon State plays Arizona State next at home and then travels to Stanford.

This Oregon vs. Oregon State game is not going to have the value that Oregon will need at the end of the season.

The only argument that Oregon is going to have, is playing USC twice.

I don't see Oregon jumping KSU, of course, unless KSU loses.
