#126 Posted: 10/2/2012 9:18:24 PM 10. After 5 weeks it seems for me anyways I just cant get over the hump. Hanging around .500 for the year is something I not use to. You guys have seen my work on here for years now, by now, I'm already separating and having another successful season. But one thing is true. I'm not gonna get excited, Ive been doing this for a long time and I feel confident in my abilities. If there is one person on this website that will stay focused it's me. One thing I have done much better this year is handle the " haters ". I am not letting them get to me. I do think it's funny that people are so obsessed with me and what I do and say on here that they have to make alias just to try an put me down. But for every " clown " so to speak on here, there are tons of great people. Guys, dont give up on me. The Best is yet to come.
Agreed
Excellent read as usual Boom
Totals have been red hot

Better luck next week. Luck was the big factor last week. Your picks seemed spot on.. They were obviously very sharp - luck just didn't fall our way.

Sharp pick needs luck?
When my pick lose, I would think some how it square and I haven't figure it out yet

#136 Posted: 10/3/2012 10:00:32 AM I get sucked in by the three tv's in my living room so I throw down on games just to watch usually. In my blog and articles I write I will take 3 games : ND, Nebraska and Texas.. I ant to fire om Florida and ,ost likely will but I cant help thinking that the Mad Hatter has stayed Vanilla until this week. Or is LSU not that good ? Boom I'd be really curious to hear your opinion on LSU |

#137 Posted: 10/3/2012 12:43:00 PM Boom, given that your boys just played BC last week - congrats on the win and cover BTW - I was wonder what your opinion of the BC @ Army game is this week, if you have one.
I did a little write-up on the game here:

Take a look at it and give me your opinion if you have one.

#141 Posted: 10/3/2012 5:17:10 PM Cover - I can see the angle on betting CAL. No matter what people think, Cal was the correct play last week.... They just kept shooting themselves in the foot.... GL this week BUDDY
Gators - Yes, I would
Baylor - its on the radar...
Cbowles - I dont know what everyone is thinking. Yes Florida is improved. LSU will win this game. LSU is gonna do what LSU does...Run the ball, play good defense and Play great special teams. It will be ugly... but it will be a win
Trickum - Let me say this. I hope your money management is better then you being down to your last 100 bucks... if its your last 100 bucks in general, dont gamble. If its your last 100 in your bankroll I would say play that under in the Texas W.V game....under 75.

Thanks!!! I have read it. Here is my take.
B.C offensively is the best Ive seen them in probably a decade. The defense as you stated isnt a typical B.C defense. But I will warn you this, Spaz is a defensive guy... he will still have his guys in that 4-3 defensive shell with a safety playing in the box. Army cant beat B.C deep.... Just my opinion. The over is gonna depend on if B.C wants to really stay up tempo like they have, or be contempt to just win " enough ".... I would think B.C is gonna work on there ground game this week and get the backs some confidence.

#145 Posted: 10/4/2012 8:27:01 AM Boom, Surprised that you like the over in the Penn St/NW game. Penn St. is perfect to the under so far, and unless they find some new offense and a new kicker, I could see them finish perfect to the under for the season. My guess would be that you think NW will light the scoreboard up, and maybe the line was off because of their success at padding the pockets of under backers so far. Seems all their lines have been in the mid to high 40's, but with their great defense and their inability to score points, one would think high 30's would be closer to reality. I'm considering going with Penn St again this week, and the under, so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and BOL at getting back on track this week.

#146 Posted: 10/4/2012 10:04:37 AM dont know why people take towson games or any like that so serious. its simply a scrimmage, if anyone has played big time hs or college football you would know that practice time spent on a team that you may beat by 50 sneezing is about zilch. they practiced for florida and probably everyday some bama as well.

Thanks Boom!!!

At 1 & 3 I see this as a "must win" game for BC, so I think think they'll put the petal to the metal to the extent possible. Army isn't a team that is a guaranteed win for BC. They'll have to work for it.
Nevertheless, I think Army will need to find the end zone at least three times to take this game over, because BC should get into the 40s. I think Army will do that. I see them scoring in the 3-5 TD range.

#150 Posted: 10/4/2012 2:20:38 PM BOOM,
I'm glad to see you on that under in the WVU-TEX game. As soon as I saw the number my gut said it was too high. I really respect WVU's offense, but Texas' D looks tough as well. I don't see a track meet here. I locked it in yesterday...U 75. BOL with that and all your picks.
I don't get a chance to post in here often but I always make it a point to check out your thread each week. It's a solid read.
Cheers! |
