Woody
lets keep it simple $200.00 bankroll 10 plays at 5% ($10)/play $16 profit/week based on 10% juice losses by week 13 $208 doubled the BRoll
And that is to play $10 all the way through which is to not maintain a 5% wager as the bankroll increases. if I were to do that it would be accomplished earlier in the season.
Now naturally not every week is going to be a 6 wins 4 losses kind of week. Some weeks will be 4-6 but others will be 8-2. In the end an average of 6-4. Also.....not necessarily 60% but maybe 55% or 57%. but whatever. No need to see my plays. Thats not what were talking about anyway. But %. and dont say it hasnt been done. It has..... Many of us have. And BTW go and dig up some old threads of mine and see if I know a little bit about picking winners. Good grief.
Sorry to everyone reading this that I have chatted with in the past. I usually am not the type to speak up and show an ugly side but.... And sorry to u too Boom..... your thread is not the place for this topic. perhaps he should have posted his own if he were to want o post such long drawn out answers.
And BOOM....congrats on ur first win!!! |

#281 Posted: 8/31/2012 2:25:56 AM I new there was something I liked about you slomotion. That’s great in theory. The only problem is that’s not reality. I was looking forward to learn from you so I could make 200% on my money. All I am asking is put up your plays and the amounts you wager so we can keep track “FOR REAL”. You don’t need the amounts just the plays. I’ll create a fictitious bankroll just for you. For someone who doubles their bankroll every year that should not be to difficult……
An experienced handicapper would not make such a foolish statement. You “should” apologize to everyone, that’s an insult. The only digging to be done here is in your pocket to your bookie. I use to give seminars for players just like you. They could also pick winners. In fact I had students who where better handicappers than I will ever be. The problem was they had no money managing skills. I do believe you are good enough to pick winners and your probely a very good capper. I don’t believe you make 200% on you money. Year in and year a good capper is lucky to make 20% to 50%.....
I’ll give you the formula: add all the money you bet through NCAAF in 2012 and divide that by how much you win. That’s your “FOR REAL %”. My thread is exactly the place for this topic. The more information we can help out fellow handicappers that don’t have the time to spend handicapping the easier is for them to make a few bucks. That’s why is called a FORUM. As always slomotion I appreciate your input…..
Good Luck To all

#286 Posted: 8/31/2012 9:24:57 AM Slowmotion & Woody - Guys As I posted in post #220. I believe in doing whats best for you. Their is NO perfect system.
The only thing " handicappers " should focus on is being good at understanding the game, how it works, and most important, having a eye for it. I watch the game with my "eyes"... everything I post on here and every pick I make is by-product of what im watching every week. Now with that said, just watching the game just isn't enough. You still have to understand how this game works and also understand things like matchups and where the games are being played.
I for one dont like being called a " handicapper ". I never want to be known as that. I want to known as the guy who " gets it ". Someone who loves the game first and is a fan. Everything else after that is completely secondary who I actually am.
Guys, Their is no perfect system

The South Carolina / Vandy game is
gonna be a good game. 2 things to point out here. 1) South Carolina
usually starts a little slow. Any gamecock fan will tell you that. For
whatever reason they struggle coming out the gate. They win but seem to
not look sharp. I personally think Vandy is very motivated and
re-energized. What im saying is Vandy as a program is at their highest
of highs right now. Never have they been more excited about where they
stand. Franklin has these guys believing and half of the time in college
sports, that's all you need. This will be a competitive game for 4
quarters.... Vandy will going up against a solid DL. But, Vandy has one
of the best " no name " running backs in the country in Stacy. IMO, 7
points at home is enough to bite.
Cbowels - S.C never plays good in their opening game. For whatever reason. Was the DL dominate? Yes. But as far as how I thought the game would go..... as planed

#288 Posted: 8/31/2012 10:04:50 AM Boom.... sorry brother but like I said ....it should have been its own thread. We were talking games not MMgt. if the answer was going to be so long and drawn out , make ur own thread.
Takeit..... if you have more information in regards to a seminar I could sit in on on how to cap football games I would like the info. I always wanted to attend one of those. Thanks
If ya have to PM me for that then feel free.

Technically thats not true. The best system is to simply tail me and cash checks. It couldnt be any easier than that.

I thought if you double your bankroll - i.e., the amount of your 'investment fund' - you have made 100% on your money, not 200%? Correct? That's what slo said, doubled his bankroll, not make 200%...
While I agree it's not an easy thing to do in a season (doubling bankroll), I know for a fact it *can* be done, I've done it myself one season, and have pretty come close in others and I am far from a top tier capper on covers. Biggiantkiller won over 200 units all sports last year -- anyone who visits his threads should have no problem believing him just by tailing the plays he shares on covers. So, real world, it happens....

#292 Posted: 8/31/2012 11:20:59 AM After thinking about it I guess there should be a different venue for this kind of thing. I do this for enjoyment, not for a living. One other thing, when someone doubles their moneyl they start with $100 and makes a $200 profit that’s doubling your money. You start with a 100 and make a 100 that’s 100% on your money you don’t count your investment as part of the profit. Double means 2, I am sure you meant 100% was made.
Also, when you hand your money to a bookie on daily or weekly basis that money is vested. All I meant was to add up all those monies you put in to action day in and day out then divide that by your profit and you get a true %. A Bankroll is just something you start with. In today’s world everything is not what it seems. As always I appreciate the input.
Good Luck to All

Just listen to me on the OU/ut game this year, and you'll be fine.
