N. Ill is a machine in the MAC.  They are covering like the Red Hawks, Toledo and Central of years gone by.........meanwhile, you can't bank on any of those three teams anymore.  N. Ill and Temple are the MAC teams to ride out the rest of the year!!

I agree with the Phan and eyez posts that N ILL is a cover machine.

The only concern that I have on this game, is the fact that N ILL has played their last 3 at home while W Mich has played the last 3 on the road.

Now N ILL is the road favorite at W Mich  -  Should this be a concern?

Thanks and BOL

Taking W. Mich here.....Northern Ill has been paying off, just don't like the line movement here.  Action is on Northern Ill, but line has gone from 9.5 to 7.5.  Somebody knows something.  WMU +7.5.

I absolutely agree. I did not listen to posts that I should have on the WV @ UConn game and lost some major units. There was a gentleman on there that said I did not give enough credit to UConn's offense and still I think they have a ways to go but WV was the most disappointing offense I've seen all season. So much talent but not exploited. I don't think there was a throw down field at all. The WR were just there to occupy the corners. WHY? Is Geno Smith incapable of making an accurate long throw or was UConns pass "D" that good. I think the first or fear of INT's but isn't taking a calculated risk sometimes a huge part of the game? Anyways, thanks to that poster that set me straight on the respect for UConn.

I will be watching a closer eye on the line from now on before I make a pick. As of now, Home dogs are looking good, especially with that may points. These two teams are capable of scoring and paired with an average ranked "D". WM did better against a mutual opponent in Akron but that doesn't say much except that they both have similar games so taking the points will be the better pick.

N. Ill beat Minnesota on the road handily. Defense is not great but W Mich is no offensive threat. W Mich may hang for a while but N. Ill will put them away 2H. Buy it down to 6.5 to relax.

Line likely dropped because W Mich beat a mutual opponent in Akron by slightly larger margin. Hey, a blow out is a blow out and the extra TD is of no consequence. W Mich likely needed (and wanted) to run it up while N. Ill wanted to prevent injuries and show some class. I watched 3 of their games this year and although they started slow at times, they warmed up and cruised. Look what N. Ill did to a very good Temple squad (home) and Minny (on the road). Minny may suck in the Big Ten but Minny would beat W Mich. in a close one. Again, buy it down or tease N. Ill (with the Buckeyes, Clemson or Sparty) if you want to relax the whole game.

Northern Illinois - 34                                Western Michigan - 28

Broncos +7                                              over 54

Huskies have owned this series 7-1-1 ATS last 9.

Time for the boys from Kalamazoo to "show me" what they got.

I'm from Missouri... today.

Broncos - Over
