I think this debate is hilarious. The older generation loves MJ in this matchup and the younger loves LeBron. I just think its hilarious bc THEY ARE THE TWO GREATEST PLAYERS EVER. Am I a Lebron/Heat fan? Yes. But I'll speak facts: Lebron is taller, faster, and stronger than MJ. MJ has a better jumper and killer instinct. Maybe? Lets see how Lebron is now that the monkey's off his back. I just love this comparison and think Lebron is by far the most talented player in the history of the NBA.

Not maybe. It's a fact. Jordan didn't shy away from the ball at the end of games because he is scared to make crucial FT's down the stretch like Lebron.

Lebron better post score, that's it. I am part of the old generation my friend. I watched the games and lived and breathed those games and i saw him play live.
Jordan led the luge in scoring for 9 seasons. Jordan has 6 rings compared to 1 for l.j.

A participant of any sport is only as good as those he competes against.
In the 80's and early to mid ninties (before you were born) the nba was a much different league. Players had more passion, and played with more heart. And the HEIGHT of players was TALLER.You take a look at the centres and power forwards that Jordan was up against and tell me could James do what Jordan did against those players? - The answer is no. Everytime this clown dunks.. he is alone otherwise he just does jump shots. I dont see him heading in against 3 guys all bigger than him and dunking it or fake laying it up.
Lebron James has great athletic ability and stamina yes.. but thats all he has. He's playing against a much shorter league that Jordan full of lazy prik teams that is over-reffereed. Look how many fouls this guy gets called to his advantage - nobody can touch him. Jordan never got half those fouls.
In conclusion my friend.. this argument is all relevant to time. And to put it into perspective a little further for you.. its like you playing in an nba game tomorrow and getting your ass whooped and me playing against a group of retarded people and dominating only foryou and I to then be compared on ourachievement in our respective games.

This argument is a joke talk to me in ten years then we can have this discussion but as of now lbj has a long way to go just to catch kobe never mind jordan leave him out of discussion 6 nba final 6 wins 6 finals mvps with the better stats to back him up. Lbj so far 1-2 in finals with the worst finals performance for any superstar in finals history against dallas. Yes the man is a freak but this argument has to wait

And its also because the younger generation never saw jordan. If u saw jordan play in his prime u would not think lbj was close. If mj didnt retire he would have 8 str8 rings and 8 str8 finals mvps. Does anyone really think houston woulda beat mjs bulls in 7 game series. No shot. He took two years out of his prime and still did what he did

I never liked Jordans personality and that bulls team in general, still dont like him to this day....but I ve watched both these guys play, Lebron is truly a great player but he is in no shape or form even worthy to be compared to MJ...its not even close.

im a product of the jordan era no doubt and share the opinion that he is the most astonishing,strong-willed compelling athlete that has ever played any sport and his record speaks for itself so no point poring over all his achievements...but i am also not blind and recognise evolution is sports, and the world in general obviously, and it cannot be denied that lebron,if continuing on his present path, will b easily considered at worst the second greatest player to ever play the game...and,depending on his team-related accomplishments, his legacy could perhaps surpass that of jordan...perhaps.....let time decide.
as 4 their physical gifts ya hav 2 giv it to lebron in the height and strength department and leaping ability is pretty even(despite mikes legendary status in this aspect),shooting isnt all that clear cut, edge just goes to jordan...and killer instinct/will to win/desire is no contest, jordan hands-down.hell,forget just sports he mite b the MOST competitive human being that ever drew breath, this dude despised losing with a passion.....but one thing dat really pisses me off is wen people claim lebron is quicker/faster than mike, which is ludicrous to me.go to youtube and check sum of jordans early career games wen he 1st hit the league, dude was a blur and cud get to the rim at will.talking iverson/derrick rose type quickness.
one thing dat also shud not b forgotten also is that while lebron cud potentially pile up championships with his "super-friends",the likes of wade, bosh, ray allen and watever other gun-4-hire miami picks up along the way jordan 3-peated,yes 3-PEATED!!!!!with guys named bill cartwright,b.j armstrong, cliff levingston, stacey king, bobby hansen hansen, jud beuchler, john paxson, craig hodges...........scottie pippen aside, not exactly a hall-of-fame line-up im sure u wud agree..dude was a beast and, till proven otherwise over the fullness of time, will remain as the best to walk this earth

First things first, MJ was already acclaimed as the "GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME"..and LBJ??? Not yet, but undoubtedly he is currently the best athlete playing in NBA and in the world right now..but with the question of who's better??? this is very complicated and is no definitive answer..it depends on the how you look at it..in my perspective, the most important thing to consider is the accomplishment of the player, it doesn't matter whether he plays on 70's 80's 90's 00's, whether he played on a good team or bad team, whether he is athletic or not, whether he's a PG or C, whether he is white or black, whether he's a person or not person, BECAUSE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT ACCOMPLISHMENT HERE..For now, as acknowledge and acclaimed by many MJ is the greatest player of all time, YES ABSOLUTELY CORRECT..Is MJ more athletic than LBJ? is MJ is a better passer than LBJ? Answer is NO!!! But it has nothing to do in measuring ones greatness..LBJ is still young and keeps on destroying each and every record of KB..there's a lot left in LBJ's career..LBJ is in the best form right at the age of 28, and it will last for another 5 years before he starts slowing down..can he top MJ stats? definitely almost in every aspect, LBJ started playing @18, MJ @21 (Correct me if i'm wrong), MJ missed one season (93-94), and only played 13 solid seasons with chi (1984-1998) and 2 sub par season with was (2000-2002), on the other hand, LBJ just turned 28 and already played 10 solid seasons (2004 upto present), in ten years time - injury free LBJ will have the greatest stat ever, but still single question remains, can LBJ win more championship than MJ??? ANSWER IS, lets wait and see how this story unfolds, until then, MJ holds the title ...
