Not a chance, The Hawks have a beast of a defense, and so does Dallas. Difference here is Romo vs Russell.
I bet on my team when I feel it reflects something they can and will do. Like I figured they were going to give the Giants a fight and had a great chance of winning.
Hawks +3 is right on IMO. They are home have a great defense and are well coached. Problem is the rookie Russell is going up against Ryan's defensive schemes. I feel Romo will find a way to exploit the defense like he did the Giants while the defense keeps Russell off the field. Cowboys should win this but it will be close IMO. a 6 point victory or even a FG game here. Romo's O-line was atrocious against the Giants. I see the Hawks getting a few turnovers here.....Trap line?? nahhhh....Just a solid vegas line

When you get that Bear juice off your chin we will discuss... But this is a biased, ignorant, dumb behind statement that I can't believe I am giving time and attention to. You stupid behind YES THE QB POSITION MATTERS A FUCKIN TON!!! And you are obviously one dumb son of a girl if you think Jay Cutler can touch Rogers...
I don't doubt the talent of the misfit Chicago receivers... but they do have a dumbass gunslinger in the backfield that has been known to cost them!
You are calling me a dumb garbage like you know me or something.. Keep typing Internet gangster.. |

#66 Posted: 9/12/2012 11:59:27 PM I agree with your general hypothesis regarding the identification of a trap game but the numbers don't support it for this game. Pretty well everywhere I'm looking the Packers are slightly more popular than the Bears. The consensus on this site is 51% Packers, hardly the numbers you'd expect for a trap line....

#67 Posted: 9/13/2012 12:55:34 AM The near split action indicates this isn't a trap, you all can remove the tinfoil hats.
I will take Rodgers over Cutler any day. Cutler hasn't won anything. Look at his career TD-INT ratio, it's not pretty. I don't trust my money with a gunslinger against an opportunistic defense.
People need to actually cap the game instead of reading tea leaves. |

Agreed
Packers D has allowed avg 32 pts/game in their last 4 (non-preseason) games
Last 9 out of 10 (non preseason) games @ Lambeau have gone OVER ....streak is at 7 games right now
Bears + Over

#69 Posted: 9/13/2012 1:16:16 AM Green Bay -6 +3 units
You need to consider 49ers aren't some walk in the park team. They played Almost perfect all around. They(49ers) make it to the NFC title no doubt this year. With that being said I'd take -6 at home with a beat-up bears Defense. Green Bay has something to prove and its s must ein. Rodgers is no Andrew Luck. He's going to pick apart their D. |

#71 Posted: 9/13/2012 2:04:46 AM I AM ALL "OVER" THIS...........
OVERALL ANALYSIS
Green Bay's offense has yet to hit its stride even going back to the preseason, and with the Bears appearing to now have the firepower necessary to go toe-to-toe with the league's top scoring teams, the time is clearly now for Rodgers and company to step it up and reach their usual standards of excellence. Fortunately for the Packers, they know full well what they'll be getting from out of a Chicago defense that isn't fancy, or as formidable as the take-no-prisoners San Francisco outfit that stymied Green Bay last week. Marshall and Forte will be hard to handle for a Packers stop unit that's still somewhat of a work in progress, but odds are Rodgers will come closer to showcasing his MVP form against a familiar opponent. He's also the less likely of these two quarterbacks to commit a pivotal turnover that could loom large to the outcome of what should be a close and exciting contest. 2 units OVER 51- |

#73 Posted: 9/13/2012 3:44:04 AM This is your post last week
"PACKERS -5 MAX UNIT PLAY ***POD*** (15 units) Man do I love this matchup. Speed and power on both sides of the ball with SF having the best defense in the league last year. too bad they got a beast of a team to deal with for their first game and on the road. Rodgers is the best QB in the league IMO. Better than Brady Brees and both the Manning's. His ability to read defenses and execute his offense is superb. They will be ready and poised for another great season and a run at the post season once again. I dont really even see this game being close to be honest. GB by 10+"
So you thought Packers would beat 49ers by 10+ and Rodgers would be ready for another post season run. But now you think they will lose to bears?
I guess you didn't learn anything from last week with your "trap line theory or reading lines" you pounded titans +4.5 knowing patriots would stomp there heads in, but since the line seemed fishy, you took titans.........

#74 Posted: 9/13/2012 5:54:50 AM This is the first Big game for Alshon Jeffreys (who is going to be a great WR) but his first time in a pressure NFL game, Marshall and Cutler were great last week, but all things considered the Packers are a step up, and the Bears will not have the same comfort level of knowing that they should definitely win the game. I actually like the Bears more then the Packers as a fan, but I need to bet to win money....and my mind is saying the Packers are going to win this game
