#154 Posted: 10/4/2012 4:52:37 PM As some of you may know, early in the season I predicted the biggest
upset of the year would take place here tonight in Utah. Utah has had
some struggles this season. Injury's and some bad play calling
offensively have really set these guys back IMO. But when I picked this
game as a my pick I picked it for a few reasons. 1) Playing in Utah is
extremely difficult. Most teams and most casual football fans dont know
just how difficult it is to play in Utah. It's like a hidden gem. 2)
Thursday night! Playing on Thursday night as a road Favorite is almost
like playing with dynamite. 3) Lame Kiffen. The guy just isnt who you
guys think he is. He is a bad football coach who will do nothing but
loose big games and drag the USC football program down with him.
Question
is do I feel as confident now about Utah winning as I did 3 months ago?
No, but with hesitation. I still think Utah can win this game. I still
think USC and Lame Kiffen can screw up a wet dream. But I say all of
this will caution. Why? Because I'm actually going out on the edge here
predicting a pretty big upset. So if Utah wins this game, so be it. I
called it and it will be cool that I foreseen this thing coming. But if
Utah doesn't win, then chill out haters. AT LEAST im here making
predictions and not bashing anyone and everyone if they get one little
thing wrong.
So with that said................................
Give me UTAH +14 2.5 units |

#162 Posted: 10/5/2012 12:49:14 AM Boom, I had both Utah ML and spread. They had enough to win if they didn't quit early in the 4th. Not much we can do about that. GL this weekend!

#166 Posted: 10/5/2012 11:27:20 AM Boom another fantastic NCAA fb thread with tons of enlightning participation Great top 10 as usual Best college fb thread too, sans Mr Jimmy
First, if you want to have a better record narrow your focus It is when us gamblers thirst for more action we tend to lose more Maybe limit your picks like Jimmy does
Great information offered thru this thread especially from those SEC homers Getting Lucan to honestly spill "his" beans on Bama Wow, straight from the heart of a diehard Roll Tide fan Absolutely love it, makes it worth spending 15 minutes reading all the posts and Dierden 21, those guys "know" their conference
Can't believe nobody has mentioned Starting TCU QB Trahal/paschal getting arrested for DUI early Wednesday morning in Fort Worth. Patterson immediately suspended him TCU has LOST 20 players in the past year to all sorts of infractions(criminal offenses like theft, assault, DUI's and selling/possessing drugs) Kinda feel sorry for Pastterson. he is still one of the very very BEST college coaches out there, despite the lack of "institutional/player conduct" control If he leaves, which he really should do, given the right opportunity(ie ARKANSAS) he should get the hell out of Texas where football on any level rules He DESERVES better
On that TX/WV under 75, Texas defense is damn good and WV not so much. I could easily see Longhorns "running" all over Mounties in an opposite "Welcome to the BIG 12 road" statement game. Be very very wary there
Good luck this week as I love your Tigers to cream those "nerds" from Atlanta
Thanx again for contributing to the forum

#167 Posted: 10/5/2012 2:59:41 PM Boom – I expect more from you. I would have to say that anyone on here that thinks TCU is on the take is pretty much a huge idiot. Obviously they don’t know anything about the team and/or have not watched their games this year. I am very close with the program and I laugh at all of the deadbeats on here that think they are on the take. First of they are the youngest team in the country. The lost 20 combined players since the season ended last year that were supposed to play this year. They have been reckless, but they are not “fixing”. The funny thing about it you would have to say they are fixing it on both sides. When they played UVA everyone said they fixed it because our awful DB dropped an easy int to let UVA cover. But they also said they fixed it because they scored a TD on 4th down to win and cover the game for TCU. Patterson said he didn’t want to risk getting a kick blocked and if they didn’t get it, UVA would have had to go the length of the field and score twice in 2 minutes. You can’ have it both ways. Even another play in the UIVA game was Skye Dawson’s fumble on the goal line. He was about to score and defender hit him from behind and didn’t see if. Do you honestly think as a player he made a split second make a decision to fumble not even knowing if he would get hit? This is why covers is such bull garbage sometimes as you have a bunch of retards who don’t watch or know garbage throw out things like this. As for the SMU game it was a down pour the entire game. It never stopped and both teams showed it. There were massive turnovers and no one could catch or hold on to the ball. Even some more idiots who were not even watching the game, but on espn gamecast, got on here during the game and called for a fix. If you were watching you could tell the conditions were brutal. If TCU was on the fix then why did they intercept it 5 times? Why did they score the early TD’s? I guess the backup place kicker who dropped the FG attempt is on the take as well? Patterson even said at his lunch yesterday that they couldn’t keep any of the balls they were using dry on the sidelines. Both teams had problems, but because TCU was favored I guess they were fixing. Anyone who believes this garbage is an f’ing idiot. It is called being young and really not as good as everyone thinks and this is from a TCU fan. I really think this talk has to stop as it just shows that most people don’t know garbage. |

#169 Posted: 10/5/2012 3:24:55 PM Personally I think TCU wins by double digits this weekend. Basically because I think they rally around Boykin and deliver their best performance. Their team speed will be too much for Iowa St and I think alot of people are giong to jump on Iowa St becuase of the Paschall suspension. After this game though, I will be very worried. They easily might not win another game, but that might of been the case with Casey at QB. TCU is very young and they just make some stupid decisons sometimes, but this weekend you will see their best performance.
The rants above was basically because Boom keeps floating this idea and then the others just follow. I think it is ludicrous to throw that around and I know it to be 100% not true. People can't understnad that players F up sometimes. Because they can't realize that they make mistakes and weather causes bad plays of course they call it a fix. |

THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSE!
IVE BEEN READING FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS OF POSTERS ABOUT TCU BEING FIXED AND GOT BURNT LAST WEEK AND WON WITH THEM THE WEEK BEFORE!
I THINK VEGAS WOULD HAVE HAD SOME WORD ABOUT THIS AND TOOK THERE GAMES OFF THE BOARD BUT AS I READ YOUR POST I HAPPEN TO AGREE WITH YOU IN THE SINCE THAT THEY ARE YOUNG AND THE WEATHER FROM LAST WEEK PLAYED A HUGE PART IN THE OUTCOMES !
SO AGAIN THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSIGHT!!! |

#171 Posted: 10/5/2012 4:00:57 PM saintdaddy, I love Patterson. He is a greta coach and you are totally correct about this team being young! They probably will rally around the backup too as patterson is phenomanal about rallying the troops. I just feel Patterson deserves better. He is a GREAT coach. I just wish he could takeover Boygirlz and turn them into a real TEAM but will NEVER happen
I think TCU will be a very live puppy the rest of the way

But Im am believing what im seeing, too may " things " are happening at crucial moments to pass this thing like nothing is happening.
Chill out before you come into my thread calling me a idiot. My time on here at covers speaks for itself.

I hear what your saying.. but I think there again, When conference play starts things change. 17 points is alot of points for a team to cover with a very average QB. Rutgers runs the football... UCONN historically stops the run. Food for thought.
