#729 Posted: 5/20/2012 12:27:27 AM Once again with these mother friggin Cardinals. No matter what side I am on I can never be on the right side. 2 weeks ago sweeping D backs and now sucking behind vs the Dodgers. No game 3 for me, GL to those who continue to chase them. |

SERIOUSLY.................it would be nice to see them score A run!!!! Terrible.
I wonder how many times they were swept on the road last year??
I tried asking McShady to share last years spreadsheet so many eyes could maybe see different angles, but he didn't think it was worthy of sharing unless I could justify it to his approval. Fair enough - his sheet, but thought we would all like to see if the first month was easier / more consistent than the other months / interleague, etc.

The Dodgers have swept 4 times this year already - all 4 at home.

#734 Posted: 5/20/2012 10:08:01 AM No Berkman or Allen Craig for the Birds, no Matt Kemp for the Dodgers (not that they've needed him lately)...
Strange things happen on Sunday. If the Cards could ever beat the Dodgers, it would be against Billingsley. I'm on the Cards today, big. |

#736 Posted: 5/20/2012 11:47:30 AM I found some info that might be encouraging, but I found similar info on Arizona with Miley when they lost to Cards in Game 3 recently. Cards are 7-2 in their last 9 games after losing the first 2 games of a
series. Lohse is 5-1
with an ERA of 2.70 in 8 starts this season with the Cards winning 7 of
those. The Cardinals are 16-5 in his last 21 starts overall, 5-1 in his
last 6 road starts and 4-0 in his last 4 starts when he pitches the 3rd game of a series. Billingsley is cold, going 0-2 with
an ERA of 6.43 over his last 3 starts. Plus, we're seeing the Dodgers as dogs again with their tremendous home record of I believe 18-4. The Cards are probably favored because of the pitcher, but it also could be a sucker bet with a fishy line for Dodger backers with the lure of another plus money winner in this series. Surely not again after winning as a dog in game 1. Let's get this one guys...

#737 Posted: 5/20/2012 2:19:19 PM A question for those with more history at this betting game- how do the O's continue to get + odds eventhough they possess the best record in the AL? I have played them the entire week and happy I did so! Love the fighting Showalter's as I was turned on to them thanks to Semperfi. |

#738 Posted: 5/20/2012 2:21:13 PM McShady, I pushed with you at 6 on the Cards under last night. Just got under 7 for tonite at +105. Went ahead and bet the Cards -118, it was over -120 earlier today and looks to keep going down as the Dodger fans come in but I'm calling it a day and signing off the computer. Good luck with the under and what a steal you got the Cards at -105! One website I checked said it opened at -135! What a bargain!

Good question. I believe they are now 9-0 in May on the road and in all games dogs! They're up 3-0 now but I played Wash to avoid the home sweep, man everyone of us could have won a fortune on them if we had played every Balt road game this month. If they win today, keep that in mind. I don't think the dog thing will keep up much longer. I don't see how. Vegas is not stupid. Perhaps they haven't been getting hammered and people think Balt's record is deceptive. I really don't understand this situation. I believe last year they started out sucking really bad and maybe people still remember that, especially the pitcher Matusz.

#744 Posted: 5/20/2012 11:29:56 PM Done with this week. Time to get back to winning! O's may be getting respect with -110 tomorrow against Valentine's boys but still a play for me. Best of luck Semperfi and McShady in finding the winners. |

#750 Posted: 5/21/2012 9:47:13 AM Any thoughts on the Padres over Cardinals with Craig/Berkman out, Freese/Furcal slumping, and the team looking beaten down? They've got a nice price tag too...
