#5 Posted: 10/23/2012 12:47:47 PM Kimo both actually. I have been to Red Rock also but the lines weren't to my liking like others I saw. Has a great atmosphere there though. U have any suggestions? |

#7 Posted: 10/23/2012 12:55:13 PM I live here so I shop around and go wherever I find the best lines for my particular play. I use South Point, Cantor or William Hill these days. I use The Orleans when I play teasers.
Cantor has invested a lot of money in sprucing up their books at Venetian and Palms. If you like playing poker while watching sports and putting in bets (like I do), I would suggest the Venetian or Palms.

Only the name has changed to LVH. The sports book is the same.

#9 Posted: 10/23/2012 1:29:02 PM LVH and Wynn are the best
Wynn is a little better in terms of higher class of people
I like Wynn
LVH has sharper lines than Wynn

LVH (Hilton) Superbook STILL the best for lines. decent place to watch esp NFL because they open the showroom and have all the games on. |

#12 Posted: 10/23/2012 1:40:56 PM Stay right where you are Palazzo or Venetian. Cantor upgraded Venetian book and it's amazing. Get there early though. |

#15 Posted: 10/23/2012 3:41:22 PM If you're staying at the Palazzo then you don't need to go anywhere but next door. IMO Venetian has one of the nicest sportsbooks in town

#20 Posted: 10/24/2012 9:37:59 AM Wynn, LVH, Palms and Palazzo are great. Stay away from Harrah's and Luxor. They are dumps. |

#22 Posted: 10/27/2012 12:26:29 AM What's said this thread: It's all good
But I'd add that there are some specials to add in your mix: Texas Station and across the street Fiesta have arrays to check. Props & cards of note, and certain parlay plays can be found.
If Parlay vig is your thing, go to Jerry's Nugget !! The book is tastefully revamped so as to still instill the vibe from its inception in the early '60s. And if you flip 'em a fin or better the free drinks come around just as your bottoms up on your last. Plus the restaurants inside are tops for taste and within less than one minute from the wager-windows. Canary is also OK to lay a last minute bet, as is Red Rock.
If you dig poker and betting than check out Poker Palace which has the poker section adjacent to the sports book and is laid-back in sphere; they'll take up to low 5-figure wagers.
Cantor also renovated one of the oldest books, that of the Trop - and it's screens are immense and right on top of you, and you don't have to wait in lines for last minute (especially In-Game) action, whereas all other cantors the Ven, Palms and M are too often crowded houses. Palms is best on Porn Industry Awards Night, I feel; the whole joint oozes unlike other nights there which just seem to be missing that Vegas Vibe no matter how much dough George Maloof throws at his places ostensibly too far off The Strip. But George is a cool dude, down-to-earth and really in-there concerned.
If you dig crowded conditions then go to the California when Hawaii plays (has the best NFL tournament, too), and look at The Orleans on big game nights, and head on over to Mirage for the oohs & ahhs which has had the best figures for many a game and proposition wager if you're one like me to shop around for an increase of 5 to 15% ROI. |

#23 Posted: 10/27/2012 3:16:55 AM I agree with Palazzo and Venetian. Whatever you do, stay the hell away from the Rio. Rude and they bust balls when paying off over 3k. One of the managers, mario I believe, is the worst. The staff is good but management forces them to be person. |
