you can often tell someone that has done psychedlics becasue of their ability to think outside of the box and think for themselves... you seem to have this quality so your experimentation is not surprising...
I like this observation dl.. although I wouldn't consider it a strict rule

I agree, there is a tonne we just do not know. However, I have serious reservations about attributing the unexplained or undiscovered to the church or their interpretation of reality.
We don't know everything there is to know about life and death and the universe, which is totally fine I might add. Anybody that claims to have all the answers in this day and age should be scrutinized, and make extra special sure you include religious groups in that. Spirituality is one thing, organized religion is another. I can't take the Church seriously, so I have as easy a time attributing something to the Christian version of god as I do attributing the same thing to aliens, ghosts, santa or the boogyman. As far as I'm concerned, they are all inventions created by man-kind to serve a specific purpose.
In the same sense that people used to think the Earth was flat. It was understood as such. Until we discovered differently and it was explained/proved that the Earth was in fact round. So now we know, it was discovered. Do you think in a couple more hundred years we'll find out it's not round, but really something else? Probably not. It's a crazy path we're on as a species, I'd rather use logic and reason than just believe ghost stories and blindly accept them as truth. I like that you are 'out there' kicking ass and taking names in your quest for answers. In this you have my support...
And if there is a god, I hope he blesses you in your journey
Disco, all churches are ridiculous in my eyes. Coming from a strict catholic background, I know it’s ridiculous. Once I read about the dead sea scrolls and how christianity was based on an ancient fertility mushroom cult, I knew I was being lied to.
Something tells me that the lemurians, sumerians, and egyptians knew something and buddhists have a closer idea of what god actually is. I assure you Disco the god I speak of isn’t the god christians, person, or muslims speak of. I’m speaking of a spiritual power that’s unexplainable and unknown to us.
Until Scientists invent a portal to the afterlife, a wormhole and black hole machine and a telescope that can see infinite miles away and a spaceship that can travel infinite miles. Answers might never be found. We may never know the truth until we die.
