#1 Posted: 4/29/2012 2:21:54 AM With Saturday’s record 4 – 1, up 4.9 units, we are looking to end the weekend with another run.
MLB
Kansas City has found their bats as of late and although Chen is 0-2 he is still holding a 2.52 era. The Twins are a good team but rely largely on putting up runs as their pitching staff has not been able to shut down many teams. This is a good spot for Chen to get his first win and I believe the line is a little low and plan on taking full advantage of it as my top MLB play today. Kansas City Royals (-114) – 2 Units.
The Boston Red Sox are hard to bet against since their blow up against the Yankees. I going to ride the wagon with this game and put my faith the Beckett to pull through once again at -123. Boston Red Sox (-123) – 1 Unit.
I like to avoid Parlays but in order to get the right betting odds it is required as I don’t like laying a lot of juice for 1 or 2 units. The Yankees put up numbers at home no matter who they face, Verland or lefties. With Sabathia taking the mound I think the Yankees are in a good position to win this series today and even like them with the run line. But with possibly no bottom of the 9th and the Tigers dangerous bats straight up in a parlay is as much as I’ll risk on this game.
The second game is the Giants. Bumgarner is on a 3 game winning streak with constant low pitch counts and minimal runners LOB. San Diego and the Giant are having trouble putting runs on the board but I think the Giants will close this one out much sooner than the 2-1 victory yesterday.
2 Game Parlay – 1 Unit
New York Yankees (-189)
Cleveland Indians (-175) (71.43 @ 2.40 = 171.43 net = 100.00)
NBA
As of late the Spurs have shown their dominance against all opponents finishing the season strong on a 10 game winning streak with an average winning margin of 17.6. The Spurs have only lost 5 home games all season and these losses were due to missing key players and fatigue from back to back to back nights. The Jazz are a miserable 11-22 on the road and without their last 5 game winning streak would not even be in a playoff picture. With a well rested and fully healthy Spurs I picture this being another Heat/Knicks game and expect the Spurs to easily cover the 10.5. San Antonio Spurs -10.5 – 2 Units.
My second NBA pick is based on history, Boston has beaten the Hawks 2 of 3 times this year, and their only loss came with 3 of their starting 5 sitting at the end of the season and Pierce sitting the second half. I expect Boston to win this game outright but will opt for the little bit of insurance taking them at +1.5. Boston Celtics +1.5 – 1 Units.

Have a good one,
