#3 Posted: 9/15/2010 11:01:27 AM I was out there a couple years ago over Thanksgiving week, which is fairly comparable to Christmas based on talking to a few people out there. There are several shows that will be dark during that week. In comparison to a normal week, the strip will be less busy, but there's still plenty of people there. The restaurants will definitely be open on Christmas Eve, although I believe that some of them will be closed for part of the day on Christmas, most likely re-opening for supper. There are plenty that offer a specific Christmas meal with many of the traditional trimmings (based on what kind of level of restaurant you go to). You will find some lower limits at a lot of the strip casinos throughout that week, though, as there are just fewer people out there. |

I planned on it. I spend most my time there at the sportsbook anyways. |

#8 Posted: 9/15/2010 10:49:41 PM I was there years ago and stayed at the Monte Carlo and it was beautiful. Not many folks there but they do it up. If you stay thru New Years then it gets crazy. |
