The Secret Service usually works criminal cases that are related to the nation's financial security. The Secret Service was originally founded in 1865 to suppress counterfeit money and while the agency still spends a lot of time investigating counterfeit money both in the United States and overseas, today's agents also investigate a variety of other financial crimes, including credit card fraud, computer fraud and bank fraud. Even though the Secret Service now relies on computers to help carry out these investigations, agents still go out and ask questions of victims, witnesses and suspects because talking with people is one of the best ways to tell whether people are telling the truth.

I have a friend in the secret service and they do handle these types of crimes. He has had to travel to different parts of the U.S. to arrest counterfiters, credit card fraud, but at major levels,  and money laundering. I really don't doubt this guys story. As well they love to tell you they are building a case.

That didn't really answer my questions completely. Did they just ask you those three questions and leave? What else did they say other than they are trying to build a case? Did they make you sign a statement that you were gambling offshore?  If this really did happen I highly doubt they were in and out that quick.

The SS is definitely involved in such garbage. They busted a central processor in Texas in early 2011 by raiding their office with 30 agents one morning..
Have you received a wire from bookmaker since Oct and if so, was it coming from a different source?

You should  have asked them why they weren't investigating Obama's counterfeit birth certificate.

For some reason I believe this guy. Bank Wires are what draw the most attention.

I heard the DOJ has lightened their stance on the wire act, so not sure why secret service would show up at your door. Crazier things have happen though.

However, if this is true it is very very very very rare. Their are much bigger fish to fry, so not sure why you are acting like this will happen to every person who withdrawls money from a book

Tough to believe such a very vague story that anyone could have made up. When asked for more details he hasn't given them. Is it possible that they would show up over a foreign bank wire? Yea, but not for a $7,000. That would be a complete waste of time for them.

  Playboy's Story

First off if they were secret service they probably wouldn't come in cars with 5% tint, lol.  I mean how fuckin predictable is that?  Did they have on shades too?

This dude has been smokin that good garbage, and I don't want any.  ha ha

So when they came up to your door, did they introduce themselves behind the "Secret Service."  Or did they expect you to know that from the 5% tint on their cars, and shades?

And did their business cards say "Secret Service" on them?    I'm just trying to figure out, how you can be so sure it was the "Secret Service."

Reason for this is the way they keep soliciting new business. I get a weekly call from them and I haven't used them in over a year. Talking about crazy bonuses etc.. The phone number is from Florida, not Costa Rica.

I think they should be focusing on the other two things, child porn and terrorism, but they need some more funds to fight those things so what better way than to steal money from bookmaker through their US processors.

5 dimes, heritage, etc... need bookmaker to stay around or they are next.

They won't be getting bookmakers domain name again anytime soon. I suggest you Google the sbr interviews with I Nelson Rose on the subject. He lays out why the first seizure of the domain was not even successful, and why it is legally in bad form for them to do it again.

Same here.  Found nothing.  I'd like more details on the other happenings.  Were they also from wire withdrawals?  Was it the same thing where they showed up, said almost nothing and left?

I think the Banker just sent over a couple Tellers to see what your up to.  Seriously it would of cost the SS more than the 7k to send two guys to check on you.  Scan the cards and black out the names for us to see, cmon now.

Has the SS been back to visit you?
Did you mention anything to Bookmaker about this problem?
If the SS is involved, there has to be MORE to the story.

why are we busting his balls?

if it happened great he's telling us

if not and he gets off by telling lies than great for him

with that said it could happen but i don't think it happened

if it were over 10k it'd be more believable

Not sure if story is true, however it is possible. I once worked in the banking industry and we would file CTR ( currency transaction reports) for anything that was over 10 grand. Anything under could not be reported. Today to help combat money laundering, counterfiting and "other" illegal activity they inacted the SAR (Suspicious Act Report). Even if you get payouts in a check form, lets say 1500-2000 thousand per month from random places like singapore/hong kong/peru. Its possible for a teller to file a SAR on you.Now if the activity continues... Somebody will be knocking on your door... But like I said its usually a continous suspicious activity. Its plausible.
