#327 Posted: 2/3/2008 10:45:38 PM Yes, lets please limit the trash talking.
It was a great game, one of the best Super Bowls in history. And just like I said I would be, I'm here to congratulate the Giants fans, players, coaches, and everyone else. They played an amazing game on defense...better than I ever expected. They were able to shut down the most prolific offense maybe ever. Congrats to Strahan and Toomer...they deserve it.
The key plays were the fumble that was recovered by the Pats, no whistle blown allowing the Giants to kick and fight and get the ball, and of course the choice to go for it on 4th and 13. I had a bad feeling as soon as they chose not to kick that field goal. And who the hell is David Tyree? Amazing catches, great plays.
I'm honestly not that mad simply because the Giants won this game, the Patriots didn't lose it. Great game, too bad it didn't end up in the Pats favor, but even with this loss, this team MUST go down as one of the best teams ever.
As for spytheweb...enjoy the victory, but don't say the Pats had a weak schedule. They did not. The Pats were able to shut down Jacobs and Bradshaw in case you didn't notice. It just wasn't enough, a defensive battle that unfortunately didn't end up in the right favor.
The worst part is this feeling has to linger all the way until next season. Not fun to lost the last game of the season. Once again, thank you and best wishes to all my friends and cohorts on here. It was a pleasure capping along with you all.

#328 Posted: 2/3/2008 10:46:16 PM as much as i'd like to say YAY or WOOHOO for just winning $600 on taking the pts when everyone else where i'm from was on the other side of the money.....i just can't, i'd like nothing more to give that $600 back (even then some) and be able to tell that person mercury morris, "look whos drinking the champaign now girl".....but well, i can't. I've never felt so shitty while winning a friggin bet. GG w/e pats friggin handed this game away in the last drive, congrats giants fans, darn the 72 dolphins!!!!

#329 Posted: 2/3/2008 10:48:57 PM And please stop the cheating talk. A random video guy taped a walkthrough and thats it. No coaches knew about it. How can this be cheating? Is the video guy on the field? No. They got caught in Week 1 bending the rules, they paid the price and moved on. Perhaps everyone else should do the same.

You make absolutely no sense so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt
and consider that you're a little handicapped on the speech level. I'm
more of a low key type of girl until you really press my buttons and
you just did. I'm finding it pretty sad that you have to start a flame
on an online forum because BABY truth is if we ever crossed paths in
person I'd never blink twice to never open a door for your classless
handicapped behind. You won your bet, so congratulations!! That does NOT
make you better than anyone else in here. There's tons of garbage talking
threads about the superbowl in the pro football section on this site so
maybe you should go over there and make some new friends. |

Get your popcorn ready. TO will be in the house, just think you're on the wrong side of this GB play (and SD). There's something about that Chicago-GB game that makes me think almighty #4 will struggle this weekend, not too mention those pups he has surrounding him. Seattle, as a team, has the playoff experience and Holmgren knows Favre like the back of his hand. Taking Sea +7.5 for 3 units, and 1 unit on Sea ML +300....NOPE!! WOW YOU ARE HUMAN...LET ME KNOW IF I CAN PUT A GOOD WORD IN FOR YOU AT CIRCUT CITY...I THINK WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO USE A GOOD STOCK BOY..IN THE MEANTIME RELAX CAUSE IF THE GIANTS WIN YOU GOTTA LOT OF COW TIPPING TO DO YOU FUCKIN HICK!!!!
Ha ha ha ha ha, darn face, I scooped up $14k today, about half your yearly income, if not more. Make sure to have plenty of flair on your uniform tomorrow, you stupid big mpouth piece of garbage. LOSER!!!!!! |

#336 Posted: 2/4/2008 12:01:59 AM Thanks PatsGrl......I was thinking of you today....I really thought your team would win a close game.....
Been banging the double crowns on the rocks since we got here and I've only had about six hours of sleep since arriving. Having a blast with my friends and was suprised by my uncle being in town for a convention...neither of us knew the other would be here...catching the flight home at 7:45 am so I have about nine ours left to gamble my brains out....
Congrats to the G-men and under backers! |

#337 Posted: 2/4/2008 12:04:42 AM LMFAO...
Patsgirl and my other regular friends just let that guy be....30 posts and this is what he brings to the table..come on...the more we pay attention to him the more he'll talk and never make friends on here...he'll tail our picks next year and win money but never thank us and when we're wrong he'll come on and say he had the opposite...FU buddy!!!
As far as the football season goes...it was fun and a great one....I came out ahead, but not as much as I would have liked...lost my 2 biggst plays of the season w/ USC vs UCLA and NE vs NYG tonight....oh well..next year I'll know not to risk 80% of my winnings on 2 games....
It's kind of funny in the playoffs...1-2 on New England 0-4 on the NYG...
but they played their behind off tonight..I never saw that look in brady's eyes that you know he's going to win....he had it coming out of the tunnel but after he got popped in the mouth he looked scared....Congrats Giants, giants fans, and giants backers...
BigD, Fish, Lefty, Patsgirl, Irish,Hawkeye, Scorp, Danstyk, CMJ, csharp, obes, Tex, Wiseguy, mavarino, ....we'll see ya in 7 months....can't wait..I got a good feeling with this group of minds we might hit 80% next year!!! |

#338 Posted: 2/4/2008 2:31:37 AM yep drink it in for the next 7 months. and ya wont see any giants backers "shoving their words up their behind". ya wont see any patriots in disneyland. what you will see is bill belichick shoving 4th and 13 up his own behind. and tom brady shoving "we're gonna score 17 points?..... OK!" up his own behind too. Priceless. the cocky ones got their medicine and the real champs showed up tonight expecting a game, not a cake walk. no disrespect to randy moss who gave proper credit after the game, and no disrespect to those who bet on the the pats moneyline, but laying 12 points in this super bowl is just laughable....

#342 Posted: 2/4/2008 4:35:38 AM It's just past 11:00pm here on Maui and just got done celebrating a great day.
I would first like to give the proper props to the Patriots on an amazing season although not perfect it was amazing
To the Patriot fans there will be many more Super Bowls in the near future for all of you. Even though I am a very huge Dolphin fan I still cannot take anything away from the amazing run that this Patriot team has this season and no one else in this world can take it away as well.
Keep your heads up Patriot fans
Props to the Giants
The Giants just plain played their hearts out today. Defense was amazing and I knew Eli came to play when he got away from a couple of sacks including the big one on their final drive. Great job Giants
Giants final +12
Giants final +12.5
Giants final +13
Hit my numbers on the block pool on the final
prop bets
Thank you very much Giants

#343 Posted: 2/4/2008 4:53:03 AM WTF!!!
Why all the hatred and and childish trash talking in here. Leave the Pats fans alone a-holes. If the Pats won this game I highly doubt any of you haters would have come back in here so just keep your crap to yourself and your mouth shut
BTW dtmadden no need to be bringing those harsh FU words for my 72 Dolphins
Once again thanks for everything my friends and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone but the haters again next season.
Aloha &

Like I stated earlier on this thread that I was getting irritated when a a lot of the attention was focused on the 72' Dolphins and the 07' Patriots. I really don't think that these 2 teams can be compared when they both played under different rules and salary limitations. Hell I don't even think Gatorade was around when the 72' Dolphins were playing.
Too much media hype about the 72' Dolphins and the 07' Pats and not enough media attention on the Giants defense and how the Giants had an amazing winning streak on the road. Very little attention by the media on how the possibilty of a back to back Manning brother's Super Bowl victory.
IMHO like a I stated earlier 2 great teams in 2 different era's and that's just plain and simple. This Super Bowl loss against the Giants does not take anything away from an amazing season that the Patriots had and no matter what the critics may say it is not an " unforgettable one ".
I don't agree with the perfectville commercial but that was not the entire 72' Dolphins team.
BTW Shula and the 72 Dolphins did get somewhat disrespected on national tv by Terry Bradshaw and former Dolphin head coach Jimmy Johnson among others.
Shula stated a couple years back that the champagne popping is being exagerated but once again the media had to inflate a little story into a huge one.
Anyway bro no apology needed just don't hate an entire team if only certain individuals are being just old and ignorant.

#349 Posted: 2/5/2008 9:35:43 AM Wow, what a great football game! Can't wait for NFL network to do a replay so I can watch it more closely. I missed a lot of plays because of all the Hawaiian Tropic girls in tiny ref uniforms bringing me more crown on the rocks than I could handle .
Congrats to all the Giants and under backers
Congrats to all the Patriot fans on an amazing season . I really did think that they were going to finish it off by winning a close one.
 my plays went as follows.....
Giants +12
Giants under 55
Giants +12 under 55 Parlay
Giants +3.5 alt spread +245
Giants M/L +400
Will there be a safety in the game +500
wanted to play more props but the line at the casino was way too long. Had to call home and guide my wife to make them through the computer. Guess I need to pay her a commission now.
Blackjack = Push.......last hand split 8's against a dealer's 6. got another 8 and split again. Doubled down all three and ended up with with two 20's and a 19...dealer flips the 10 and draws a 5 for 21 to hand me the Had a great time out there with my buddies and was very happy to come home exactly even.
Enjoyed spending time on the threads again this year with all of you, except the haters. Special shout out to BigDaddy, Blackjack11, PatsGrl, Obes, Ditty, Irish, Wiseguy, Hawkeye, Scorp, Teabaggins, Lefty, DrJ and all my other friends on Covers. Looking forward to next season so we can do it all over again. Best wishes to all of you and your families.
