Thanks Hunted, and I also wanted to take a moment to thank all the regulars and wish everyone well.  You know who you are!   I'll be busy with the game tomorrow and getting ready for a week in Jamaica starting Monday morning, so I won't be posting too much more.  Vacation sure will be sweeter with a Patriot win.  It's right there for the taking.  Ain't no stoppin' 'em now.

All the best to all of you in the off season, and see you next year.

Go Pats!

The roof will be closed for the game.  They will only have it opened for pre-game and halftime.  This will be the first time that the Patriots prolific passing attack in will not have to be slowed down with windy cold elements they have faced the last eight games.  Truth be told this team would have been much better suited to play in a dome like the last three outstanding passing attacks (St. Louis,  Minnesota, Indianapolis) but this arsenal out shined all of them nonetheless.

Bill Belichick knows exactly how to exploit that very suspect secondary of the New York Giants.  Randy Moss and Wes Welker matched up on Corey Webster and Aaron Ross will be the focal point of his attack...it does not seem fair does it?  Finally, he will be able to go deep to Moss with out battling the wind.  It does not matter which safety the Giants roll Moss's way (Gibril Wilson or James Butler) because they are both vulnerable verse big plays and have been all year.

The Giants will rush four and drop back seven because they have to.  Not because the defensive line is so good but because their secondary is so bad. That's not good news verse an offensive line that is incredible at pass protection.  Not to mention starting
RG Stephen Neal and RT Nick Kaczur are healthy and did not play in the week 17 match-up.  The 18 times the Giants did blitz in that match-up Tom Brady completed 16 of them.  And if you don't get pressure on  Brady dropping seven marginal defensive backs won't be enough.  We all know what Brady can do when given time.  And no front four alone, not even the Giants front four will able to get consistent pressure on Brady behind that offensive line. It's a two-edged sword that will slash the Giants repeatedly.

The aerial attack of the New England Patriots will dominate the Giants, the game and Monday morning's headlines. Bill Belichick knows this and that must have him smiling...inside.

Bet the PATRIOTS -12 and the OVER 54 if you want to have fun and win money on Sunday .

Where do you guys see the line moving tomorrow?  I am with you Irisheyez in liking the G-men and the under on their own and parlayed.  Won't most casual bettors go with the Over and Pats raising the number tomorrow?  I am trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on 11 1/2 and 54 1/2 or wait for slightly better numbers tomorrow, maybe 12 and 55?  What  type of line movement does everyone expect to see?

Just added Under 54.5.   Only 5 of past 20 Super Bowls have hit for 50 or more.  Pats did once, so they are 1 of 3 to hit it high.

Patriots -12 (2 units) vs. Giants - well I really shouldn't have to say much about these teams because you already have heard it everywhere else for the past 2 weeks.  They faced off in week 17 in a "meaningless" game but that didn't stop the coaches from playing hard and not resting players like normal.  Thsi game will be played on turf which might actually favor the Giants who were 4-0 ATS on turf this season compared to the Patriots 6-6 ATS.  It will allow for the Giants pass rush to get off the ball quicker, but that also means the speedy New England WRs will be even quicker.  New York loves to rush only 4 or 5 and drop everyone else back into coverage, look for them to try and establish this which would mean less space for Brady to pass into.  Given that each side has 2 weeks to prepare and also that these teams only faced 4 weeks ago I think strongly favors Belicheck and the Patriots.  His schemes will be so complex for Eli to figure out that he'll go crazy.  It also gives New England a chance to regroup from the late season struggles (albeit all wins) and the mistakes that were made in Week 17 that almost gave them their only loss.  I'm also going to throw out there the under 54.5 (2 units) because I don't think Eli is at the stage in his career to excel in the Super Bowl.  Take that and the fact that Belicheck will throw some crazy things his way means 2-3 INTs and 1 TD for the little Manning.  Final score prediction is 34-20 Patriots going 18-0 and winning the Super Bowl.

Two team teaser with 7 points (5 units to win 4) - Patriots -5 and under 61.5

Prop bet specials (with book listed):
Will Mike Vrabel score a TD - yes +550 (1 unit to win 5.5, on VIP)
Total pass receiving yards by Kevin Boss - over 20.5 -115 (2.3 units to win 2, the Greek)
Will Eli Manning throw a TD & INT - yes -180 (3.6 units to win 2, VIP)
Most rushing yards, Jacobs or Maroney - Jacobs +23.5 yards -115 (2.3 units to win 2, VIP)
Will Tom Brady throw a TD pass in the first quarter - yes +100 (2 units to win 2, the Greek)
Number of penalties made by both teams - over 10 +100 (3 units to win 3, the Greek)

Alright so I decided I'm gonna lay off the total and just stick to Pats -12.  I'm thinking the total is right on so for now I'm thinking to just take my team and a few prop bets that I'm still looking into right now.  It's 2AM in Texas and I'm still looking over Superbowl props I guess that tells you a whole lot about me

I can't wait until the big game

I'm taking under 55.. It's still just any given game, and that's a lot of points.

Like the under here because The G Men only chance is to try to keep Brady and company on the bench dont try to get in a scoring match with them... they need to play their game which is the good old smash mouth football when perfected alows you to wear the defense down and to keep the oposing quarterback off the field.. so if that happens the under will hit do to the clock!!! But hey if they dont then they will be in for a long day if they trust the football in Eli's hand... But hey every dog has their day. GL!!

listen to the “experts” you’ll hear things like Stuart Scot saying that it’s a moral victory if the Giants keep the score within 14.  Dude, go back to finishing a highlight using the term “booyah” for no reason. Then there is Steve Young pointing out the obvious: “Tom Brady is a much better Quarterback that I ever was.” Um, yeah, you think so Steve?  What next? Going to tell us how Mike Tyson is slightly disturbed? Thanks, but got the memo.

The Patriots are an unprecedented 18-0.  They broke the NFL single season scoring record; most TD passes in a season thrown by a QB and receiving by a WR; best boot (Tom Brady).  The list goes all the way down to Spygate. How about this record: Patriots 10-8 and the Giants 13-6. That would be the season records against the spread.

More fun facts: the Giants were 8-2 as an underdog and the Patriots were 6-7 as a favorite of 10 points or more. Last time they played the Giants averaged 4.15 yards a rush and that was without Ahmed Bradshaw who is averaging 4.6 yards a rush in the playoffs. As a team they will have 130 -150 yards rushing. Look for the Patriots to win this game but the Giants to keep it close. Rain on Sunday night in Arizona. Play the Giants +12 to under 54.

You guys should give this thread a read whichever side you are on. Good luck today everybody, here's my plays.

15 Units
Patriots -12

3 units
NE -7 1st half

3 units to win 12 units reverse
Patriots -12 & Over 54.5

1/2 unit
Tails

1 unit each (props)
NE -3 1st qtr
NE -4 2nd qtr
NE -3 3rd qtr
NE -3 4th qtr
Will the Giants ever lead? No +150
Will NE score first? Yes -170
Will NE Score last? Yes -160

I'm thinking 42-20 for a final score, and the game won't be that close. I see the Patriots winning every quarter, and I decided to spread my money around there instead of the ML. I really like the Pats 1st half, may put a few more dollars on that.

SUPER BOWL XLII
GIANTS VS. PATRIOTS (-12)

WOW, THE GIANTS ARE ON A MAJOR RUN.  SOME LOOK BACK TO LAST MONTH'S MEETING WHEN THEY "ALMOST" BEAT THE PATRIOTS AND SAY IT ALL STARTED THEN.

NO DOUBT THE GIANTS HAVE CAUGHT THE EYE OF MANY AS THE GENERAL PUBLIC SEEMS TO THINK THE POINTS ARE A GIFT IN THIS YEAR'S SUPER BOWL.  BUT VEGAS IS BRILLIANT AND THEY KNOW HOW TO PROFIT ON SITUATIONS LIKE THIS.  IT OPENED AROUND 14 KNOWING THE PUBLIC WOULD POUND THE GIANTS.  THEY DID AND IT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANTED.

YOU KNOW THE STATS BY NOW….

THEY'RE THE BEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE, WITH THE BEST OFFENSE, BEST QB, BEST COACH, THEY'RE UNDEFEATED, WITH ALL KINDS OF RECORDS, ETC. ETC.

IT'S ALMOST NAUSIATING.

BUT THERE ARE OTHER REASONS HERE AS TO WHY THE PATS WILL WIN THIS GAME BY MORE THAN 2 TDS.

LET'S START BY TALKING ABOUT NEW ENGLAND AND HOW THEY STARTED THE SEASON BY COVERING THEIR FIRST 8 GAMES AND THEN ENDED THE SEASON GOING 2-8 ATS.  THEY WERE CLEARLY A MORE POTENT TEAM EARLY ON.  THE NUMBER OF BIG PASS PLAYS DROPPED OFF TREMENDOUSLY.  THE BRADY TO MOSS HIGHLIGHTS TAPERED OFF IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON AND HAVE BEEN NONEXISTENT IN THE PLAYOFFS SO FAR.

DEFENSES SURELY MADE ADJUSTMENTS TO TAKE MOSS AND THE DOWNFIELD STRIKES OUT OF THE GAME, BUT THE PATS HAVE NOT PLAYED A DECENT WEATHER GAME IN OVER 2 MONTHS.  THEY'VE PLAYED IN COLD, WIND, AND RAIN, AND TOOK WHAT THE DEFENSES GAVE THEM TO ENSURE A "W" WHEN THE GAME WAS DONE.  NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT BAD WEATHER IN THIS ONE.  IT'LL BE IDEAL WITH A REAL QUICK PLAYING SURFACE.

BILL BELICHICK WILL FIND A WAY TO EXPLOIT A VERY VULNERABLE GIANTS SECONDARY.  THE GIANTS WILL RUSH FOUR AND DROP SEVEN.  NOT BECAUSE THEIR PASS RUSH IS SO GOOD, BUT BECAUSE THEIR SECONDARY WILL NEED THE HELP.  EVEN WITH THE GIANTS HAVING THE BEST PASS RUSH IN THE LEAGUE, I DON'T SEE THEM GETTING TO BRADY CONSISTENTLY RUSHING JUST FOUR.  WHEN THESE TWO TEAMS PLAYED IN WEEK 17, THE PATS RIGHT SIDE OF THE LINE WAS NOT PLAYING.  STARTING RG NEAL AND RT KACZUR WERE INJURED, BUT WILL BE FULL STRENGTH FOR TODAY'S GAME.

GIVE BELICHICK TWO WEEKS TO PREPARE AGAINST A TEAM HE FACED JUST OVER A MONTH AGO AND THERE'S NO WAY ELI MANNING AND THE GIANTS PUT UP 35 POINTS AGAIN.  HE'S A COMBINED 6-0 WITH 2 WEEKS TO PREPARE AGAINST A TEAM AND 13-2 AS THE COACH OF THE PATRIOTS IN THE PLAYOFFS.

NEW ENGLAND HAS WON BY 11 AND 9 POINTS IN THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR, BOTH AGAINST TEAMS WHO HAD BETTER REGULAR SEASONS THAN THE GIANTS.  JACKSONVILLE AND SAN DIEGO BARELY COVERED.  SAN DIEGO HAD A GOOD ENOUGH DEFENSE TO PLAY MAN UP AND GO AFTER BRADY AND STILL LOST BY 9.  IF BRADY DIDN'T THROW THE INT IN THE END ZONE, THE PATS NOT ONLY WIN, BUT COVER THAT GAME.

A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE EXPECTING THE GIANTS TO CONTROL THE GAME BY RUNNING THE FOOTBALL AT THE PATS AGING DEFENSE.  LOOK BACK TO SEE HOW THE PATRIOTS DEFENSE DID AGAINST THE JAGUARS AND THE BEST RUSHING ATTACK IN THE NFL 3 WEEKS AGO.  THEY HELD F. TAYLOR AND M. JONES-DREW TO JUST 66 YARDS ON THE GROUND.  THE PATRIOTS DEFENSE WAS RANKED 4TH IN TOTAL YARDS DURING THE REGULAR SEASON AND 10TH IN RUSHING YARDS.

NEW ENGLAND HAS BEATEN 7 OF THE POSSIBLE 11 OTHER PLAYOFF TEAMS THIS YEAR.
THEY BEAT THE GIANTS, COWBOYS, STEELERS, COLTS, REDSKINS, JAGUARS, AND CHARGERS TWICE.

MEANWHILE, THE GIANTS PLAYED ONLY FIVE PLAYOFF TEAMS THIS SEASON.  THEY WERE JUST 1-5 IN THE REGULAR SEASON (4-5 COUNTING THE PLAYOFFS).  THEY PLAYED THE COWBOYS 3X (LOST TWICE), REDSKINS 2X (LOST ONE), PACKERS 2X (LOST ONE), BUCS, AND THE PATRIOTS (LOST).

THE PATRIOTS HAVE CLEARLY PLAYED THE TOUGHER SCHEDULE.  THEY ARE 7-0 THIS SEASON AGAINST TEAMS WITH WINNING RECORDS (9-0 COUNTING THE PLAYOFFS).

IN PAST SUPER BOWLS, NOT ONLY DOES THE BETTER TEAM USUALLY WIN, BUT THE TEAM FROM THE BETTER CONFERENCE USUALLY TAKES IT AND THE PATRIOTS FIT BOTH OF THOSE BILLS.

DO YOU REALLY THINK A TEAM THAT IS 18-0 RIGHT NOW IS NOT GOING TO SEAL THE DEAL?

THEY'LL WIN THIS ONE CONVINCINGLY AS THEY'RE STILL TRYING TO SLAM THE DOOR SHUT ON SPYGATE AND PROVE THEY'RE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.

LAY THE POINTS AND ENJOY THE GAME!!!

Giants offense rolls here, Pat won't know what to expect next run or pass. Old LBs will wear down tackling Jacobs and then running after Bradshaw. Giants covered Farve's 5 WRs, same here. Pat's have no running game. Brady threw 3 picks last game.
Giants pin their ears back and fly to Brady, let them catch a pass, then pay for it. Moss already proved he does not like contact in a playoff game vs Giants, (game which Giants won 44-0).

I think the game goes over because if NY leads like last game. NE will do anything to keep up. NY had no trouble moving the ball on the NE defense and will score.

But i'am going Giants +12.0 and a few props. On my way to the Hilton in about 2 hours.

Eight columnists from The Dallas Morning News make weekly predictions against the spread. 7 out of 8 took Pats to win today, 5 out of those seven took Giants to cover. One columnist took The Giants to win outright, Kevin Sherrington, 28-27, however, he has the best season record against the spread, 140-114-12. His pick before the season started to win the SB? New England. Giants win this in a last second field goal.....poof goes the perfect season.......(cheaters).

Ok Boys and Men,

well its like this. Big Bill has had two weeks to get prepared for this game and when he does, the results are WWWWW's. The gaints are 2-1 in SB games. I have done very will in the playoffs this year and the season. First year on the site and will post alot next year on my picks. Manning will have to handle the pressure very will today. If so the results will be a cover and maybe a out right win. NE 18-0 always been there could be 4in the last 7 years mmmm. Brady going for the fourth MVP and SB win maybe. NY are great on the road and this is a road game for them. No pressure is on the gaints because noone exepted them to be there and the pats were pick from the begining. So for that-----

Take the Gaints and the Over. If the line moves below 12.5 take the Pats and the Over. I see the game on a fast turf lots of points scored. Good Luck to everyone Today and have a great SUPER BOWL PARTY BABY!!!!!!!!

f*ck the total, take the giants plus 12 if you want to win.  giants + 3.5 is worth it also if you have adjusted spreads.  the pats are not invincible.  watch them finally panic, and all the people with the laughing icons will start crying

I was wondering why you don't have a dude bent over for your icon you person.."cheaters" give me a break...I bet no other team in the history of football has ever used scouts or cameras before...SURE they haven't...It's alright to be a hater at least you have your cowboys to root for next season. As for the Giants covering I certainly wouldn't bet on it and this is betting site so after all is said and done you'll be crying just like that douche bag T.O.!!!!

I would like to see the G-men win, but since I am a betting man, my money is on the Pats to cover and the over. I cn't see them coming this far to lose. And the monumentally stupid Senator from PA. gave them the extra motivation to shove the NFL's and his face in it.

By the way, I think the Pats are "not guilty by Scottish law!"
