#254 Posted: 1/19/2007 1:28:01 PM GENTS Has anyone even considered that both Indy and NO both enjoy a scheduling advantage. It's slight for the Saints, but strong for Colts. Not only does Indy have the extra day,but Pat's were x- country, returned home, then travel again to Indy. Doesn't anyone feel that's significent,or possibly someone else brought it up and I may have missed it? |

Good point in that Indy has scheduling advantage, but I think that's well understood already.
I think most people would overlook the Pats travelling around a lot because they are an excellent road team and are probably used to it. |

It's a fair point to bring up but Pittsburgh beat that theory last season.

#257 Posted: 1/19/2007 1:59:26 PM not that I post much at all but the one thing that has always concerned me about Peyton Manning is his inability to win the big game. He has always seemed to be able to get it done at mid-level but not in the big games. Wasn't it Steve Spurrier that made reference that Tennessee would always be second best. Yes Peyton is a great QB but what big big game has he ever won going back to college. You never know this may be it. |

I'm up to my limit laying 160 ML {ouch} and laying 115 and 120 giving the 3 If I had another resource I'd be going for more
Also like NO especially if Horn plays They're 7-3 when he does |

All of my college bowl & playoff profits are going in on Indy here. No ml plays, I'll give the points.
I work through a local & don't really care what the final number is, I see a 13-17 point Colts win.
I'm on the Colts at 7-1 to win the SB, and will make my big play here since I won't need to play the Colts in the SB, I may actually lay some off if they hang a bad number. |

#262 Posted: 1/19/2007 5:06:03 PM it would be hard for me to go any larger on the Colts.......unless of course Da Aints bring it home! Good point on the travel. Cross country after late Sunday game back on the road....then to a hostile RCA Dome. Game comes down to Manning vs Harrisonless secondary w/ the best O line in NFL neutralizing any kind of significant pass rush which Pats rely heavily on allowing their weak secondary to look average at best. ....Pats will will be back for years to come. They have been a successful organization in a league that screams competitive balance and have a great situation w/ their entire OLine and most of the D line being signed for the next few years. They will have some success over Indy in years to come.....just not this year |

(From another thread) MrB, I'm using DSI (Diamond Sports International) as my online book. That is where the +170 NE ML was issued. I had just opened an acct. with Pinny a week before they closed their doos to US. I have no friends in foreign countries Any suggestions?
Man, that is some bad luck. I recommend BetCascade.com, where instead of a 10% cash signup bonus, you can opt for their -105 juice. You'll save money that way BUT....if you're primarily an underdog player, this book isn't the place to shop. How about this? Open two accounts, one at Cascade and one at Bodog. Bet your favorites at Cascade, and your underdogs at Bodog.
Thank you MrB. It is very kind of you to assist. |

100K and I am betting 10K.
This is just one of them.
how much patience do you need to spend 20 seconds before you put a wager in to find the best line. those extra half points add up to a few extra wins and pushes per year. will probably increase your win percentage by 1% at least. for me personally, i hate it when i know that i did not have the best number that's out there. |

Its kinda funny that someone who makes a living off of sports betting wouldnt huh ??? Its like someone being a real estate agent but not having a cell phone. Logic tells you who tom is and who he isnt. anyone who makes a living off something especially gambling would be very aggressively looking for the best value available on every bet they made. maybe he's so good that he wins 80% of his bets and doesnt need to shop around. |

Finally, someone else who is not shocked that San Diego was not in this game. I completely agree Mr Bator, and love the Colts this week. The Colts at home is completely different than the Colts in Foxboro. The stadium will be rockin' and Addai is gonna run wild. Watch it happen, all the focus is on Peyton, but Joseph Addai is primed to have a big game and the Pats can't key on him because of Peyton, Harrison, Wayne, and Clark (who has become the go-to and their ability to pass effectively. The Colts will win with defense and running the football. No way Belichick doesn't drop eight, or nine guys again and let Manning dink and dunk. Addai will take up the slack and ther eis nothing New England can do. Can't blitz Manning, he will pick you apart, so you play the the run in key situations but for the most part you try to prevent the big play, same as with the Chargers, except the quarterback this week is Manning, not Rivers. Addai will rip off the yards and New England is resilient, they will make a push late, but Indy will impose its will with defense and Addai. I see 27-16 Colts...

Whatever happened to nothing lasts forever? I don't understand how some think the Pats will never start losing playoff games. I'm not a Manning fan, but it's ridiculous to think he won't seize this opportunity--if the Red Sox can win then the Pats can sure as hell crumble this weekend--they are scrappy, but that won't get it done this week IMO.

Guys,
I do not hit anywhere NEAR 80% and never said I did. I am just an older
bettor who is set in his ways. I have already noted that not
shopping for the best lines is not the smartest way to bet but I "yams what I yams"
for good or bad Do not take it personally that everyone is not as smart as you are
I do buy half points on occasion if that makes you feel any better.

I would rather ride a streak until it loses than keep betting against it until it does lose.
All those years the you made money betting the Yanks when they beat the Red Sox was not
givien back when the Red Sox finally won once.
Betting on Tom Brady in the Playoffs has made you money twelve out of
the thirteen times you did. Even if they lose Sunday you will have won twelve
times and lost twice.
I do not need to shop for lines winning 12 out of fourteen times.
GL on your Indy play.

I will be in Indy smoking a cigar after Manning directs the best QB rating in AFC Championship history.

Smoking is not permitted in the RCA Dome.
You might want to think about smoking something a little stronger
to calm your nerves after watching what happens to your Indy bet |

#274 Posted: 1/20/2007 2:33:45 PM Mr. I,
does the following ring a bell?
Baltimore -4
This will not be a close game. This will be an outright thumping. I moved to Indy 4 months ago and have followed them this year. Therefore, no bias here. It is funny to listen to the locals. Last week, they all thought KC would run all over Indy and win the game. Now they think the Colts can win the Super Bowl. Nobody gives Baltimore any credit. Indy does not play well against two types of teams
Teams with good defenses
Teams that are physical
They are going to get pounced today
Just having some fun |

What's up in the Big-D? I've been in the big apple the last 2 weeks, have one more to go. Went 5-5 last weekend, the 4 dogs straight up and a 4 teamer, thought I died and gone to heaven. Taking Indy -3 and NO +2.5 this weekend, and placed an Indy to win the SB, per Mr. Bator.........good thinking. Tell the gang at Primos "hello", be back next weekend, that dreaded off week. I hate that weekend! |
