Final price?
Can you post a link? Is that just a begining bid or a final price? I have a local shop that is on to some for me but they want 140 a bottle.
Thanks |

#85 Posted: 12/22/2006 9:23:38 AM Vanzack - this is a great thread. And I followed your BYU pick. Nice job.
I have a question about your tolerance level on points. Your picks are made at a certain point in time, but unfortunately for me I'm going to wager on them after the lines have moved. For instance, the S. Florida game is now at -5, but you got it at -4. Is it still a value? Or in many of these cases do you smell a blowout, and therefore a .5 to 1 pt increase in the line is no big deal?
Thanks in advance for your help. |

This is very subjective. Going from 4 to 5 points is generally not a huge deal but going from 2.5 to 3.5 can be a huge deal.
I still like S Fl at -5. Not a huge game for me, just a regular average bet.
BTW - when I post I post all of the CURRENT lines at pinnacle or lines that are widely available. Im not trying to boost my record by posting the lines I am claiming to get, in fact a lot of times I do get better lines but post the line that is currently available.

Last I heard he was playing.
But I dont like the game either way. Anyone betting on Rice better get prepared to have a putrid defense. They give up points.
If this game was on a normal Saturday nobody would be betting it.

#89 Posted: 12/22/2006 12:02:19 PM Hey Van...enjoy reading your analysis even if I'm on the other side.... gives me something extra to consider. Curious as to why no total plays from you on the bowl games. Your analysis tonite seems to be towards the "over". Any thoughts? Thanks!! |

No totals really ever for me. I just dont believe that I can get an advantage betting them. I dont even look at them most of the time - just a personal choice.

#92 Posted: 12/22/2006 12:55:06 PM I think Nevada might have a shot to cover and/or upset Miami in their bowl game on New Year’s Eve
They were 10-2 against the spread this year, 5-1 ATS away, Boise State and Arizona St the two losses, and some power ratings I use have Nevada as a 7 point favorite for the game, but we all know everyone will be on Miami so there might be some value in this line - Miami 3-7-1 ATS this year and 1-4 ATS away
Nevada is #25 in the country in rushing yards gained, but Miami is #8 in rushing defense, so that will be interesting – Miami’s offense is terrible but they have a strong run d, points allowed d, and total yards given up d, so the under might be a play as well
At this point fading Miami and taking Nevada looks great to me – I think there might be major problems in Miami, and I don’t think some of the players are thrilled with the new coach, even though he was the D coordinator – they might be embarrassed to be in this bowl too, whereas for Nevada this could be their biggest game ever (or one of them) – how pumped would they be to walk away with a bowl win over the mighty hurricanes, who could probably care less about this game

Glad to see you on the Rut. Some hometown info-
There is a lot of talk about the players being bummed out about missing out on the BCS game. Personally, in Schiano I trust, especially since this team has proven to be very very tough mentally. When I review the season I only see 1.5 games where they weren't ready, Cincy and half of Ohio. I called Rutgers "the homecoming busters" because they ruined homecoming for Navy and Pitt this year. There are some important players injured, and we are VERY VERY thin at WR now. Shawn Tucker, Tiquan Underwood, and Willie Foster are all unavailable, leaving us with Tim touchdown Brown, Kenny Britt, James Townsend (gamewinning drop in endzone vs WVU) and not much else. I fully expect a new gameplan that has Ray rocket Rice and Brian Leonard in the slot. Teel may also have to rely more on his tight ends, which he has neglected much of the year.
On D we lost Shamar Graves and possible Zaire Kitchen, both in the secondary.
Not trying to talk you out of it and I like the matchup in the trenches, which I always consider to be as if not more important than skill positions. |

#100 Posted: 12/23/2006 9:49:46 AM Today the CUSA suckiness will come further to light.
Tulsa and ECU go down today, and next week will be my biggest bowl game against another CUSA team.
GL all.
