Great..... all the bottomfeeding scum will be converging here now. I'll bet requests for tranny hookers will be at an all time high in the summer of 2016

I like Dr. Carson. I disagree with him on many issues but the man seems like a good human. I could be wrong since I have only read a little about him and watched maybe 2 interviews.
Republicans will never put a woman, latino, or a black person on the ticket. They believe women belong in the kitchen, latinos should self-deport and blacks should know their place in society.

cano, i think it depends on why the person criticizes him and whether the person gave a white person in a similar position a pass for doing or saying the same thing in the past.
do i need to post some comments from carson to support why i think he's a nutjob?

I agree... there are a multitude of factors. The race card is a very complex issue to formulate.
Oh, please do, ClubDirt. Everything you post is always entertaining. Like I said, I haven't studied the man very much.

because these nuts seem to be so obssessed with what g*y people are doing, whether it is due to closet homosexuality or that's the simplest short cut to get the rightwinger nuts on your side or just because he's fucked up in the head in some way, the easiest way to see if a republican is a nutjob is to just google his name and happy marriage.
normally, when you do, as in the case of ben carson, you come up with a gem like this where he compares g*y marriage to bestiality and pedophilia.

next, you can google the guy's name and something like obamacare for more painfully stupid and ignorant comments.
a few times, as dj and money know, i'll joke about Heritage Foundation Care/RomneyCare/Obamacare and refer to it as the worst thing that's happened to humanity since an asteroid allegedly hit the earth many years ago and killed almost all wildlife. rightwingers say i'm exaggerating and no republican ever says anything like that.
of course, rightwingers do say such stupid garbage and many of them end up running for president. ben carson is no exception. of course, for obvious reasons, his particular comment is even more ignorant than most on obamacare but if he wants to make a name for himself with republicans, we all know you really have to go above and beyond the normal level of stupidity and crazy to get noticed.

in an interview, he also said Robamneycare is worse than 9/11. of course a comment like this could offend rightwingers too so let me qualify this by making it clear that carson meant Robamneycare is worse than the attack on 9/11/01, NOT the Banghazi attack that also occurred on 9/11. obviously we all know nothing could ever be worse than benghazi. except g*y marriage. g*y mariage is worse than anything.

there's also a video on carson giving an interview on world net daily (i know, a very promising combination) where he suggests that obama says marijuana use isn't that bad to make people stupid so they don't focus on benghazi.
so, to conclude. carson is your standard rightwing religious freakshow nutjob. probably no worse or no better than the rest of them. i hope he runs for the comedic value. put him in between Bachmannia and ted cruz at the debate table and let them flourish.

by the way, i am still hearing more good than bad about rand paul. io'm sure that will change once he realizes he has to cater to the nuts, but here was another positive i saw recently. i'm sure it'll go nowhere but it's a very good idea. asset forfeiture is such a fucked up "big government" practice.

It is fascinating how political figures cannot get out of their own way sometimes- Carson allowed himself to get cornered on issues and then just gave knee jerk responses to questions that he should have seen coming- Sadly, to even be considered for the republican nomination nowadays there has to be a significant religious undertone to positions - And every one of them take the bait regarding homosexuality- which is about #100 on the list of things we as a nation should be worried about right now-

I happen to believe that he's correct in that the ACA is about control rather than delivery of health care- But comparing it to slavery is absurd- That's the hyperbole I expect from the limbaughs and hannitys, not someone who is positioning themselves for a potential political run- It appears in politics, he stumbled out of the gate-

You are absolutely correct. As if the change in demographic is not enough, the extreme side of Party makes sure they have to alienate those who would normally side with them but just not as nuttier as they are.

notwithstanding the g*y hating garbage, as a doctor i would assume two things. one, he's probably intelligent and two, he should have at least some unique insigth as to the problems and motives behind obamacare. when given an opportunity to explain his position, he takes the lowest road possible and comes across as a wacko losing all credibility in the process.

Oh, I agree- I'm kind of confused why he went in that direction with his comments- He's no doubt intelligent- But very poorly skilled and coached when it comes to politics- So many different ways to approach the ACA, yet he chose the most absurd comparison I can imagine- I suppose it's just more pandering to the base-

there are reasons not to vote for a guy like this but one of them is, he's not even asking me to. you say obamacare is terrible for the country, ok fine, i'm happy to hear why. i know there are some good parts to it so just tell me two things: 1) why the bad outweighs the good and 2) what your plan is that is better and has a chance of getting passed. that doesn't seem like too much to ask. if he can do that, then he's selling himself as a president. if he responds by saying it's like slavery, he's telling me what kind of person he expects will vote for him.
