Perhaps acceptable to you.
Not acceptable to most.

I'm not sure I agree that there is an enlightened way to view racism. Racism is racism. It is having a preconcieved bias against a person/group based on characteristics they display, not the character they present.
Who Mr. Sterling wants around him is his choice. Directing others who shouldn't be in a public place that impacts multiple businesses that are part of the Association is more problematic.
What I find unfortunate is that it becomes such an issue in terms of punishment solely because of money.

I wasn't trying to minimize it at all, just wondering where the NBA would draw the line. What is acceptable and what is going over the line. Obviously what this idiot said was not acceptable. I was more asking about the legality of the NBA having the power to force him to sell and to fine him. I have no idea if they have that power, was wondering if anyone had any insight to that.
Someone saying they don't like a certain race is not illegal as far as I know. Acting upon that however is a different story, big difference between being a bigot and applying discrimination.

Yeah, there won't be the public support for Sterling that many on the right wing (who are complaining that Sterling's 1st A rights were violated).
So sad when people don't understand what constitutional rights mean.
