Who believes in all Americans having access to healthcare? Not just emergency care for real access? I do. I don't think the Affordable Care Act is a good law in its entirety but it has some redeeming merits about it. I hope if it survives that it will be tweaked as needed and swiftly when the need arises. The unintended consequences of this law could harm this country for a longtime if it stands as it is written. We have 4 years I believe until the complete law is enacted. Only history will tell us how as a nation we have faired

There are a few good things about Obamacare. Many more that are awful, including the further federalization of one of the largest sectors of the economy.
I think that it was a complete Trojan horse, and if it rolls out and is a complete disaster, it will just lead to more intervention, and coercion by the government.
The idea that when it inevitably fails, it will be repealed is a joke. It will just turn into a single payer system. I feel that Obama and the DNC have checkmated us on this one.

i wouldn't dispute this. but rightwingers can blame obama all they want. i think if the republicans weren't so fuckin nuts and oput out a decent candidate, obama wouldn't have been able to do it. or, if the rightwingers actually made an attempt to help fix it or make it better or put a better plan together, we'd be better off rather than just acting like little b*tches in a pathetic attempt to shut it down.

The most pressing question is whether this law will reduce the unpaid medical services rendered, thus reducing the overall cost of health care.
The mandate and requirement of decent coverage is a start. The opt out allowances and various exclusions are not.
Nor is the failure to regulate a required commodity or the failure to heavily sanction or outlaw the cadillac plans.

I don't know what you want. You cant get more middle of the road than McCain or Romney. They were both (in ideology) Progressive liberals.
What about either of the candidates was radical? Nada.

But, but, but, but, but I was told many times over, in this very forum, that Romney was a Neocon! It actually went on for 2 weeks leading up the election! Gasp! Double Gasp!
