We&#x27;re still waiting for the players Union to instruct its members to stop inflicting head shots on its own members.&#xD;&#xA;Just like the NFLPA will not call for a league wide HGH testing and mandatory hip and thigh pads.&#xD;&#xA;If the union wants a third-party independent expert on the sidelines to assess whether or not a player should stay out of a game...the league will then need a lawyer on the sideline to have each player sign a release form before he can re-enter the game ...&#xD;&#xA;If allowed the unions will destroy Pro Football like they did GM and it will become extinct in 20 years ..then soccer will be pushed on us by liberals..

I know this is directed at me Don...so I'll respond.

Professional sports players unions are a far cry from normal public or private sector unions. Marquee players garner much more attention and publicity than avg joes that have dealings with their unions. So Player unions have to be much more thorough with their protection.

I can give you multiple accounts of former union members who have gotten the cold shoulder from their union that they payed dues to for long periods of time.

Union membership in the private sector has been declining for years. Any good ideas as to why that is?
