Biden's too emotional. Ryan's too smart.
Waiting for Biden to say when he was a kid using the telegraph...
No clue who is winning just watching Biden crack up at anything Ryan says. Guess it's sound strategy if Ryan's making points.

Thanks goodness for NFL network.

Ryan, is very far from smart.  Hes a fraud and liar.  His whole vp speech was filled with lies that got fact checked.  Hes a smug arrogant fool. Hes the kind of guy who would get his behind kicked in the bars every night.

am sure he took some behind beat downs in school

Lying or not I'm not sure how you'd think he's not smart if you watch him but I think you missed the point. Neither of these guys is compelling. The bits I watch it looks like an old man vs. a smart kid.

You mentioned something about SS in another post I saw. I'm not being original here and I don't know if you're older but if you're in your 40s or under don't expect SS to be there. I'm not writing policy by it's pretty easy math with either Dems or Repubs controlling stuff SS's not going to be around. So use your 401K or save some money counting on SS for retirement is a mistake if you're young.

Funny you say that....

Mid-debate I texted my friend:

"Ryan is a pretentious little peckerhead who needs his behind kicked".....

One to see who responds first after the first question, and then another coin toss to see who delivers his closing argument first.

Ryan lost both coin tosses.

Much rather have a beer with Biden but I think Ryan came across better tonight in the parts I watched.

Goose,

Respectfully,

If you have to give your closing statement first, does that not mean you lost that coin toss?

I would imagine that ANY politician wants their voice to be heard last.

I agree with most of that but Biden is a piece of work himself, neither is of high merit if you ask me.

Biden came accross to me as way too condescending. Even to the moderator. I think he pays a heavy price for that.

Ryan came across as thoughtful and calm.  Biden looked like a crazy man trying to whip his base up.  He needed to considering how lousy Obama did last week.   Ryan looked like he'd be a good president if needed.

Most of the post debate polls are a draw.   People will remember what a smirking fool joe was.   Ryan closed well, jJoe faded.

Joe won early but nterrupted 82 times.  Not very appealing to people who want bipartisanship.

Charlie:

You should love Romney then.

Back in high school he used to kick behind on a daily basis.

Respectfully disagree...

Ryan came across as the kid in high school who got his behind kicked regularly for being a smug little prick....

Biden was the old guy who just couldnt get it together enough to make a cogent point...

Overall looked like monkeys friggin a football...no progress or solutions, just each one trying to get their points in (equally unsuccessfully)....

Ultimately pointless, save the talk shows which will debate the thing endlessly......

I see where a CNN poll of debate watchers thought that there was only one adult in the room and released the following Thursday's matchup :

48% of respondents named Ryan the winner and 44% said Biden won.

You forgot to mention that part Slim...

There's your four percent, fixed it for you.

Partisan left and right will say it was a win.  In essence it was losses for both and some wins for both.

Dsn 150, that was funny.  And polite too, thanks for disagreeing and maintaining decorum.   Ryan let himself get beat up, I think Biden was trying to upset him.  Lose, lose.
