It baffles me how much hate there is for the OBAMA man. Do you people really think that who ever was put in his spot would have done a better job. Give me a fing break, 8 fing years BUSH fucked this country up and you people expected OBAMA to fix it all in 4 years.....Listen I will give this man another shot at trying to fix a country that is still fucked up, and let's see what he can bring to the table in the next 4 years.....I am so sick and tired of hearing so much bullshit on what this guy OBAMA did not do for us, hey how about how much garbage BUSH fucked up for OBAMA when he had to take over......so my vote will be for the OBAMA man......let's see what he can do.......go ahead vote the other way and watch this country get even worst than it already is......

In Bush's final term, the worst recession occurred in decades.  After the recession ended under Obama, economic recovery has been slower than previous recoveries because debt weighted Americans couldn't afford to spend as freely.  The economy is bigger than government regardless of who is President.

Lets get this out of the way Bush was a weak president, a baseball owner and the gov of Texas for a short time. Well was he qualified to be the leader of the US,no way, same applies to Obama a organizer puts you at the top of the list to be prescient. Lets be frank if anyone on covers ran a huge company and needed to hire a CEO. Bush or Obama would not qualify. Some lets put the blame where it belongs on the blind American public that votes for who they like not who is qualified.Jerry Jones hires people who he likes and not people who are pros. Well how is his team doing since Jimmy Johnson left. This kind of thinking is bad for the country. Both parties are full of garbage and we the American people need to change. God help us or we are going down.

Its too bad that ignorant people don't lay the full blame where it belongs.

Democrats fucked up the economy by ensuring housing loans were given to people that could barely afford them when gas prices were $2/gallon. When gas prices went to $3.50, mass foreclosures followed.

Republicans tried to pass regulations, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters, and other Dems stood in the way.

Actually, ignorant people are those that continuously solely find fault with one party whilst unabashedly praising the other.

Ignorant or perhaps, unable to have coherent thoughts of their own.

those damn democrats forced those financial institutions to loan money to people they would have know couldn't pay the mortgages had they done a little due diligence.  it's an outrage.

DJ

What a waste of intelect you are. Spending your whole covers life painting everyone else as mindless drones.

My observations are clearly derived from personal statements from this video.

I have clearly proven to this point, especially to you that I am capeable of thinking for myself.

Move on! This line of response from you is getting old. Almost as old as 'Covers Knows'

"Intellect has two 'l's.

Do you drool when watching the video? I picture something like this.

I suppose I could post 50 links in response solely blaming the Republicans for our current problems, but that would be ideologically disingenuous because I do not believe it to be true.

You have proven only your inability to carry anything but your right wing tune. Keep plugging away, my right wing extremist friend.

Interesting,

I said to myself. "I bet he will pounce on the one L spelling"

You profess to be somewhat independent yourself, yet only try to correct the righties. Like dl36. Who I might add is making improvements in that regard.

Any guess as to why you do that?

I have hundreds of posts where I criticize extremists, and lambaste members and actions of both parties.

Want to guess why you don't have one critical of the Republicans?

You made sure to protest the spelling of the intellect word yet since you didn't protest the statement you admit that you are a waste of INTELLECT.

Anytime someone blames the financial meltdown on Bush and Republican policy I will come forward with this line of response.

You and I both know this is the correct blame and only one of us has the sense to say it.

Amazingly, you werent the one to correct the OP or any other person that has laid the incorrect blame before. Yet, amazingly you were very quick to correct my improper spelling of the word 'intellect'

Although you have certainly posted some ridiculous things over the years, I did have to chuckle at your assertion that because I did not respond to your personal attack, I assented to it.

That is brilliant debate. Brilliant. I mean, why Romney doesn't hire you on for his debate team, I have no idea.  Have you sent a curriculum vitae? Don't worry if its not updated. Just add "water carrier for the right wing extremists" to your latest employment and they will clearly understand what you mean.

Post 2 nailed it.
You didn't unless you are auditioning for Fox News.

Any explanation as to why you didn't correct the OP regarding his incorrect blame for bush? Or anyone else that has done the same thing over the past 4 years?

The original post stated Bush f^%$ this country up. It did not address the economy. The economy, however,  was horrible when Bush left and your post solely blamed Democrats whilst defending Republicans for the state of the economy. The fact that you cannot find fault with both parties is indicative of your inability to process objective thoughts without being told what to think.

It isn't your fault. You just don't have the time, inclination, or desire to examine issues in greater depth.

Since it was the housing crisis that brought our economy to its knees. (combined with high gas prices) I have little choice but to mainly blame liberals and liberal policies for the bad economy AND the slow to meager recovery.

No need to blame conservative principles or conservatives at all for the economy because it was those same principles that got us back on our feet after 9/11 when the travel industry went belly up.

House and Senate were in majority since 2006.

Please remind me what I should be saying about the R's and related responsibilty/principles for our bad economy.

Bush caused the financial collapse?  Who created it? Not Bush.  Stop blaming him.  Yeah he fucked us up a little but it is not entirely his fault.  The root of the problem was giving out loans to people that could not afford them.  Who is responsible for that? Not Bush.  I'm not a big fan of Bush.  We got involved in wars we shouldn't have.  I will say that.

Not one statement in this post can be proven with factual backing, unless of course you meant to say that the Dems were in the majority in the House and Senate from 2006-2010.

Lucky for you, however, that Esplanade joined the thread, given that he is the only poster on this planet that could make you seem objective, reasonable, and articulate.

Still no explanation as to why you prefer to 'not correct' lefties on the site while pouncing in 45 seconds to correct my spelling?

Obama is not a good president, I voted for him in 2008 and even I can see this, but Romney is not the answer to this country's problems either.

I don't expect him to fix everything but I did expect him to at least make it somewhat better; not worse and not to waste so much money too.
Yes, Bush started it I agree 100%, you can probably go back further to point out issues too, but he inherits the mess at that point don't just mess it up more going forward. That was my expectation.

We all saw the real Obama, not an underperforming one. It was stark, deer-in-the-headlights. Without his protection (Chicago style) and fawning media he showed his true self. He's got no gas to run on, and most importantly, no engine in the first place. Right now, the U.S. needs a president that understands business and economics not a university professor with aspirations of being a community organizer.
