We do have a different definition of the word scam....except one's a scam and one is not....wow That is right..the only difference is Madoff knew more of his scam-ees while Nike scams in the dark..I consider the offshoring scam to be MUCH MUCH worse than Madoff. Madoff's investors were total morons in thinking it reasonable that the returns he claimed were legit and sustainable. People were greedy, those being scammed were often greedy, while people being scammed via Walmart, Nike, Apple etc etc are not remotely as greedy and clueless as Madoff. Why would anyone think someone could double your money as Madoff did? Corporate greed via offshoring is much more dirty and deceptive than someone being suckered with false claims of unbelievable returns via Madoff.

Not fraudently. Don't agree with the philosophy, but according to this (I'm sorry) strange way of thinking, one could say that the job one would be denying a Bancock worker if one stayed in Bayone IS hurting someone (don't think so, but devils advocate) If we dig deep enough, is there anything, according to that philosophy, that we can do that doesn't "hurt" anyone else. Does the air we breath deprive someone else. My God, is any modicum of effort or discomfort on anyone's part for a future gain, in today's world "out of the question"?

Explain again how that doesn't apply to a corporation closing plants here, it its own interest, and hurting its employees (and the economy).

The problem is they then want to bring their product back here to sell without paying any import taxes. This is wrong and i dont know how any right winger or democrat could think this is okay, because its not. They basically just keep an office here, so they can say they are an American company, when the thruth is, they are not. Also why should our country which prides itself on democracy and freedom be helping these dirtbag corporations and ceo's make bigger profits by turning people in other countries into slaves? Our country wasnt founded with the mission to help corporations make bigger profits for themselves. wake up man

I am firmly against it for my business which is a small business. Companies who do it do get into a particular market is one thing, companies who do it soley for the bottom line is another. I support the former but not the latter
