#1 Posted: 9/14/2012 6:39:41 PM Concerning the Middle East Brew-Ha-Ha.
At least these people stand up for what they believe in unapologetically.
Politically Correct they ain’t.
The real cowardice is in leftists (safe in their socialist haven),-- and of course with the concomitant self-righteousness and supposed morally superior “high ground”-- denouncing the millennia old sacred theology of Christianity.
What’s amusing (wrong word) is the “undisclosed location” the creator of this “not much better produced than porno” film has now assumed.
One can assume it would have been a “brave and self-less act” had this Michael Moore type character attacked our cherished and virtuous ethos of Christianity, as perceived by the spiritually devoid Hollywood elite. (“Go ahead…make my day”, as the lone exception)
To hear the repugnant Hillary pontificate from her liberally “hallowed” pulpit is enough to turn even the staunchest of stomachs. (Who can forget her phony “southern drawl” when courting our southern African-American populace.)
Is there another Sir Godfrey of Bouillon on our horizon?
Or has the valorous and honored status of knighthood been left to Sir Elton John? |

#6 Posted: 9/19/2012 5:05:37 PM Stiln, you can say that all you want but in the end......Marlo walked with all his money and still sold the connect.
As inhumane as he was, he was the ultimate winner in the show. |

All those stories in the Holy Bible are true.
I know an atheist like youself will laugh at it but the day you see yourself roasting in hell...well it's nothing to laugh about.

Hahahaha no you're absolutely right, and that's why darn him!!!
If it wasn't for Mcnulty and Lester violating the 4th amendment and decided to actually pursue that case legally things woulda ended different for him.
But I suppose once avon barksdale were to leave prison I think it was what 10 years he got he may have gotten his wealth everything back who knows. It's crazy how his boy chris took life for all the crimes he committed on marlo's behalf...... that's some loyalty if i've ever seen it.
Arguably the greatest show I've ever seen

I thought the Patriot Act suspended the 4th Amendment?
It's kind of crazy that as bad as Avon was, things on the street were way more civil and "organized" than under Marlo. Avon and Co. would never have executed that security guard for talking back with no one around. Marlo was pure ego and cared much more about rep then money. The money was only a tool to get the respect or "The Crown." This is even emphasized when Levy tells him he will walk if he gives up the crown and he actually hesitates and thinks about it, even questioning it.
I love that show. I seriously think it's the greatest drama ever. Especially because it didn't attempt to overstay its longevity like the Sopranos did(another show I do like but thought it went a little bit too long).
So glad you are a fan Stiln. I try to tell everyone about this show.

Why would I go to Hell? Jesus forgives right? Or is it Allah? Or Buddha? Or David Koresh? |

Yeah I agree I think Avon, stringer bell, especially Omar and even fat joe kept the crime at a level that was specific to people involved "in the game" which I think is crucially important, something marlo didn't have any regard for.
I think you're right but also I think obviously they all cared about rep but marlo cared about it in a way that was far more evil absolutely despicable especially by barksdales crew and omars crew.
The point I'm trying to make is that Omar and Avon had a code and followed it for the most part, marlo did not.
That one scene where avon heard of his guys shooting at omar and his grandma on a sunday right after church. Avon showed that he was genuinely confused, almost disappointed at his guys that they would do something like that.
The show really encompasses so many fascinating aspects of the criminal world.
One of my only criticisms was that, I was a little upset that Nick from season 2 didnt have any role in the show and had a very brief scene in season 5. I kinda wished they had touched base with the port workers a little bit more after season 2 because I thought that the second season may have been the best one of the entire series. I think ziggyys character was brilliantly played and what ultimately led to his downfall felt so real.
I literally just finished the show about a month ago. A lot of people I talk to know of the show but, may not have seen it. The individuals who watch breaking bad sometimes dont realize that this show The Wire essentially gave birth to breaking bad.
I could talk about this show for hours Good friggin stuff man
