I think it is so cute when you make 12 posts in response to one.
If you are suggesting that many national and registered Dems have not vocally opposed rasing taxes, gay marriage, liberalized immigration laws, etc. than we really cannot debate this issue.
And yes, your views on immigration, drugs (you have many posts opposing legalizing marijuana), abortion, and the fact that homosexuality must be a choice, are extreme.

Awwww....only three posts this time? So cute!
So you are for the legalization of marijuana? Are you suggesting you have never posted about the evils or dangers about its use? O'reilly?
My point is that the Republicans (and I used this board as the example) are not vocal. I really don't pay attention to every politician across the country nor do I care.
My original point was about those people who align themsleves on this site. I am aware you post on numerous sites so you may have gotten your sites confused.
And if you are questioning national democrats opposing various portions of the platform, just google it.

You raise a point that I have been making for some time. Not to say those people you listed, per se, are extremists, but what I have found more over the last four years about Republicans or those who identify as such, is a failure to challenge those who are from their own party who actually do take extreme positions.
Take abortion, immigration, and gay marriage for example. Plenty of Republicans aren't for abolishing abortion, deporting all immigrants, or opposed to gay marriage. But heaven forbid they challenge the far right wing of their party on these issues.
Since that appears to be the wing doing the most talking (take Ryan for example), that is the message they are sending. And absent a challenge to that message, support of that message becomes, unfortunately synonymous with assent of the extreme.
Do you want to guess why you keep moving the goal posts and changing your assertions?

Except that the post you quoted was in response to a post that listed specific posters on this site.
I have changed no assertion, except to add your marijuana comment.
I'll rephrase before having to review post history.
Why is it that it was a big deal to you that Trevyon Martin had marijuana in his system or had been accused of using it?

Let me jump in for a minute..As you know, I have been a Democrat for 50 years. I have spoken out here on abortion, and on gay marriage. And, contacted my Representatives .
I believe in gay union, but not gay marriage under God. And, I am against abortion clinics. If a women has an abortion secretly, she will have to answer to God.

Oh, the multi-posts don't bother me at all!
As for the tea party comment, I think you are 100% correct (please don't save this comment) and that is exactly what I was referring to. They absolutely are the most vocal wing, whether the media is helping that or not.
As for Don Juan, it does bring up something interesting. I imagine Capt or Club could cite to many Democrat friends who share Don's views.
While my area is moderate Republicans, they are the non-vocal type which goes back to my point, although I am not one who loves using personal examples as a means in a debate.

Not even close to what I said.
But while you are here, you are a perfect example.
You don't claim to be an extremist. Show me one thread or post where you challenged a fellow Republican.
Or one thread where you supported anything Obama has done.
It is interesting watching you criticize him about the post office though, considering his approach on that issue hasn't differed from one other President (each has artificially propped it up for purely political reasons).
Before you ask me of the same, I have challenged the left on many issues including long term entitlements, foreign policy, excessive small business regulations, and have voted for as many Republican Presidents as Dem (2-2).

I don't recall any posts where you have advocated for so called 'left' beliefs on those issues. Nor do I recall anything on the Osama topic (what was the disagreement).
Stereotyping seems to be your strongsuit. I try to stay away from the broad strokes. I personally like many so-called left ideas and many so-called right. I do not agree with extremists on either side who cannot accept other ideas or possibilities.
I stand by my original comment where I agreed with No_Contest on how the failure of the voice of the moderate Repubs has to challenge that of the Tea Party has allowed the perception of the 'general' Republican platform (not the Republican Presidential Platform) to be considered far out of mainstream.
As an aside, I said the same things about the Dems when natinal Dems were calling for the impeachment of Bush in 2006 and 2007, without a voice tempering them. It was when I changed from a 'D' to an 'I'
