Just a hunch.
- Portman can be too easily and closely connected to W.  Mitt doesn't want to be talking about W.
- Ryan makes it about the Republican budget.  It's a disaster.  Mitt wants the election a referendum on Obama, not a referendum on the Republicans crappy 'ideas'.  And Ryan actually makes decisions.  Mitt doesn't like to commit.
- Pawlenty was the jilted bride in '08.  Republicans , esp like Mitt, are all about the next guy's turn.  That's why Mitt got the nomination.  He was also the jilted in '08.  Plus Pawlenty won't make Romney look extra boring.  He has a more modest background.  And he reassures social conservatives.  Also more of an outsider and won't draw extra attention to himself.  Not a very good debater, but for the VP does that really matter.

I think it's Pawlenty.

Are you one of those guys in life that enter conversations randomly just to change the topic to what you want to rant about?

I gave Mitt too much credit.  I thought he'd make a smart choice.  But he got desperate and made the worst choice possible.

Nah, just to comment on how wrong and inane you were.

It was a brilliant choice that clearly went well over your head.

You really couldn't have been more off base in your "analysis" could you??

It will be a referendum and Romney chose the best guy to frame the stark dichotomy............a vision of growth from the right vs growing government and decline from the left with anecdotal evidence from the past four years.

Even some sharp guys from the left admit it was a great pick but you just have to laugh at the dimmer members of that group who think they know better.

And by the way, the failure of the left and their ridiculous "plan" is very relevant if flawed and a disaster.

You fit in perfectly with the rest of the vile libs that comprise today's Democratic party.  Instead of posting a thoughtful articulate response, you can only offer up ridiculous grammar school style insults.

Oh and the fact that you based both of your lame attempts at humor around guy sex is very revealing.

My analysis will prove to be spot on.  Mitt is already running away from Ryan.  That will prove to be difficult if not impossible.  As Mitt becomes expected to actually take a position, that is when it really crumbles for him.  He's hanging on as long as possible without committing to anything.  At some point that will bite him in the behind.

29,

Before you start posting about how I am "attacking" Esplanade I think you should venture over to the box and read the thread about minorities. You will find your favorite bottom Esplanade misquoting my post intentionally and using a guy reference as well.

Similar to your political views, you should probably do a little bit of reading up on the subject matter. I say this because you accuse me of being a "vile liberal" (I guess that's supposed to be an insult, not sure it's a good one though). Yet I have clearly stated I have every intention of voting for Ron Paul or Gary Johnson.

I'm guessing you plan on voting for Romney because you think in your mind that it makes you a conservative Republican. You just keep on thinking that and see where it takes you.
