#1 Posted: 4/26/2012 10:59:35 AM John Edwards will be found NOT guilty. Bet on it. The guy knows how to charm the women. And, he will take the stand and tesitify.
There are 7 women on that jury. They will fall for him, hook, line, and sinker.
Remember the scenario that I posted about the presidential candidates looks ? This falls into that category. They will be visually attached and emotionally attached to him. Emotionally attached because of the loss of his wife, who died of cancer, and his son who was killed.
Not guilty, bet on it. |

Yes, women are not the vindictive types at all. There is no way that the women on the jury would think "yes his wife died of cancer, that's horrible.... AND HE FATHERED A CHILD WITH ANOTHER WOMAN WHILE SHE WAS DYING OF CANCER"
He's toast.

Edwards was at his best when he represented sympathetic victims. He will never come across sympathetic to a jury.
And the person who is looking the best here is the man who was Edwards' closest aid for the last few years, Andrew Young.
Juries don't usually like a turncoat, but Young comes across very believable.  |

Djbrow, beg to differ my good man. John boy has them in the palm of his hands. He looks like a boy with that baby face.

You are equating a smooth-talking lawyer with good looks to someone on the stand essentially as a con-man. His smooth talking looks will work against him.
As I said before, it is Mr. Young who will steal the jury's hearts. |

I enjoyed the manner in which you politely corrected DJ. If the OP was one of the guys who you disagree with politically, you would have been much more cynical and vitriol about it. |

Well, I think Djbrow is a class guy. I have never read any profanity in his posts. Unlike some of the people on this site.
Secondly, I try to be cordial to all. However, when the debate gets a little heated, so do I.

Let me just say this as kindly I can: I think you are freaking delusional if you think women jurors would find John Edwards as a sympathetic figure in this case. Delusional. And someone like djbrow who is a class guy in your own words agrees with me, so I can't be that far off.

Don I also think you are wrong here. If anything I would think that having 7 women on the jury is going to severely hurt his chances. Not sure why anyone would think that women are sympathetic to guys who cheat on their wife who is dying of cancer.
