#1 Posted: 2/15/2012 8:53:02 AM I have bet Obama (democratic party over republican party) for the last several months, all the way up to -200 where it sits now.
If something major doesnt happen like illness or death, it is inconceivable to me that Newt or Mitt can beat him, and forget Santorum.
Dont care whrere you stand politically - I know you nutjobs will want to turn this in to a political debate about the candidates merits - Im just talking pure gambling value.
You will not see a -200 again that has this much value. The downside is you are making a 9 month wager, but it is printing money. |

#2 Posted: 2/15/2012 9:03:07 AM there's plenty of us in this forum that have agreed to this for awhile now.
Why would the Repukes contest his re-election, when he is the best candidate that they could hope for?
ON a side note Van, how do you feel about Bama's presidency as an American, not a gambler? I remember you being all giddy about how great he'd be for the country, and you bought into the whole transparency bs
it would be fun to bump someof the threads from back around the last election

I would talk about that in another thread. I want to leave this totally gambling if possible. |

#4 Posted: 2/15/2012 9:11:45 AM good luck with that
there's a three page thread towards the top of this forum titled VITRIOL FREE POLITICAL ODDS, where the forum has already discussed this in detail
I personally don't wager on such things, but have wondered how people like you that were so hyped for Obama feel at this point in time

#5 Posted: 2/15/2012 9:32:29 AM yeah, there have been a few of these threads over the past few months,. i think in the first one he was -150. anything can happen in politics but it does seem like a solid bet to make if you don't mind having your money tied up for so long.

Van van van. There will be a few days where the line will be -140/-160 Obama.....August 31-September 2, 2012.
It will be at that time that I 'sell' my Romney futures of +2100 from two years ago for value.
Do you remember 2008...as we were still getting Obama -175 the night before the election. A pretty profit as I remember. God bless right wingers and their parent's credit cards
And this will be the first gambling election without matchbook, which does play a little into how I bet this year. |

#7 Posted: 2/15/2012 9:41:27 AM Obama is a Lock....
Vanzack posting this thread today may be a prophetic sign an omen...
In fact Pres.Obama will be in Wisconsin today ...checking-out Locks..
Last month in his State of the Union Address, Obama highlighted Milwaukee padlock manufacturer Master Lock bringing 100 jobs back from China.
The company is now preparing for the President to see its work first hand. |

He was -120 the week of the election last year....
I bet it all the way from -125 up to -200 yesterday.... If it goes back down, probably will bet more.....

#9 Posted: 2/15/2012 10:16:37 AM I agree 100% with Vanzack. I think the true odds on Obama here are much, much closer to -600 or so.

and some of us have been saying this for over two years.
I just can't stomach whoring myself out for a wager. If you bet Obama, you have to vote Obama, and that doesn't sit well with me, as an American

#11 Posted: 2/15/2012 10:46:48 AM I see the odds coming back down once it is one on one, whoever it is, and Obama has to stand by his record. His record is abysmal the last three years. The overreach of the mandate on contraception, the refusal to tackle the debt problem, raising taxes, all of Obama's broken promises, will help in Obama's demise. I still have faith in America that the people will wake up in time, and send Obama packing back to Hawaii, Chicago, Kenya, Indonesia, or wherever he is from. I will proudly support any candidate from the GOP against Obama who is taking us to ruin if elected again. I don't want this country to end up like Greece, no thank you.
Watch these new RNC ads, very powerful.

I wanted your opinion on the math and statistics behind "some current prices that seem to have a lot of value."

#19 Posted: 2/16/2012 1:01:02 AM As many have pointed out, just about all us have conceded that Obama will win re-election.
Obama being a log, is a different story though. |

#24 Posted: 2/20/2012 8:17:57 PM It's just a waiting game. The way I see Obama is definitely a LOCK simply because minorities, women, and left leaning white males are much more united than your average centrist divided whites.
You can take that to the bank. |

Most Americans I know do not want this country turning into Greece. |
