You are a huge scum bag.

It's either your own writing or you need to properly cite the author and source.

If it's not your words, you need to cite who's opinions you are presenting as your own. Otherwise it's plagiarism, which you just got busted for.

Now please go do something useful with your time instead of trying to steal other people's ideas

Anyone who follows the link to my original article can see that you copied the majority of your post from my text VERBATIM.

You were busted and you don't even have the cajones to admit it. You STEAL the work of others and try to pass yourself off as an informed writer. But, have it your way. Plagiarism is against the law and my screen capture of your post is evidence enough to prove my case.

Have to agree with Esplande. This does make you sound like a bit of a racist. You may find this hard to believe, but not all old white men are liars/ child rapists.

dl36,

The Tea Party was Co-opted
I think it is pretty clear to see that leading up to, and directly after the 2010 elections the Tea Party took a very Neo-Con turn and abandoned their conservative message.

I do not think that they should have stopped in 2008, as you suggested, as they were in their infancy. I think that the prime of the Tea Party strength was directly before the 2010 elections.

It would be interesting to see what the grass roots of the Tea Party mixed with the intellectual base of OWS would look like if they ever got together.  Too bad it will never happen. Too much disagreement on fringe issues.

First of all, the Sandusky reference was a joke. I apologize but it's hard to express sarcasm in type.

Secondly, I'm white 30 year old male. I don't know how disliking and not trusting old white men as a whole makes me racist. But if it does, then so be it. I'm racist towards old white Republican males.....except for that tiny part where I want Ron Paul to win the election.

Third, stereotypes generally have some truth to them. For example, I live in Irvine, CA. A city that has a significant Asian population. I find myself constantly bashing Asian women who drive, because they are awful at it. It might make me racist, but I have heard this stereotype from several people of different ethnicity. Hell, I have even heard Asian's bash Asian women on how they drive. Is wrong to stereotype them? Sure. But it doesn't necessarily make it a false statement.

If not trusting old white men makes me, a 30 year old white male, a racist then I can live with that.

Btw, you should really take a step back and look in the mirror if you find yourself using the phrase "I have to agree with esplanade".

I may have not made myself very clear in my previous post.

I don't dislike all white males and I do not think they are all child molesters.

But the stereotypes sure as are there.

Bush, Cheney, Sandusky, and now Bernie Fine.

Who knows, maybe if some African American coaches start molesting kids and Obama or Herman Cain start two wars that make all their friends rich at the expense of the tax payers I will switch my views on stereotypes.

Hell Obama is already there into running the country into the ground and I'm sure he has made his friends rich. Now all we need are some coaches to do some god awful things.

Bingo

Not to mention the Sandusky comment was an obvious joke, and the fact that the world is pretty much controlled by old corrupt white men, I think everyone needs to cut KTrain some slack.

That doesn't mean all old white people are corrupt, and it doesn't mean only old white people are people are corrupt, obviously any person male or female of any background or ethnicity can be corrupted; that's not the argument here.

It's just that the world IS controlled by old corrupt white (men), so the point is that a change is needed.

I personally like the fact that more women are entering politics as I feel that they are more level headed in general, although the bottom of the barrel candidates the GOP promote as 'strong' conservative women don't go very far to back up that statement.

Hopefully the next round of elected officials will better represent the diversity of the population and we can only hope for less corruption, although it's hard to imagine it could get much worse in the US...

Ktrain, it might not make you a racist, but it does make you someone that discriminates large groups of people based on the actions of a few, and someone that discriminates people based on gender and skinn color, and age

And as an added bonus, it makes you look like an idiot

How about we stop identifying by color.

Because it makes no sense in today's society.
Some of the most corrupt people in our government are not White, and many are not males.

I may be a little sensitive to the race situation because I got in a fist fight over the weekend, and re-enforced some stereotypes about hillibilies that I definitely regret.

Patrica Campion,

You wrote a very good article "Democrats Bailing on Obama"  http://news.yahoo.com/democrats-bailing-obama-230600151.html, and I did use it as an inspiration for my thread post...The majority of my copied text was from sources you quoted and not opinion.

But,be that what it may ..I understand your objections and I sincerely apologize if it has caused you any grief..

Again, I hope you will accept this apology.

I appreciate your frustration, Disco.
But I am not a "blogger."
I am a conservative featured political columnist (who also has a clear record of also slapping Republicans who misbehave).

In an effort to avoid discredit to the reputation of "Covers" I have contacted the moderators of the website in an effort to make Sarasota Slim take responsibility for his actions rather than this website.

Although I am disturbed that Slim stole my work I am well aware that his actions are not the fault of this website. Therefore, I am not willing to allow him to take down the reputation of this website with him.

Clearly, members like you and others take your participation in an open forum like this very seriously. Other writers may not be so forgiving or patient to find resolve as I am should they find their work is being plagiarized by people like Sarasota Slim.

I am taking steps to protect the integrity of this website as I seek to protect my own work from those who are not as serious about adhering to standards as you are.

Respectfully,

Patricia Campion

Patricia, you claim to be a conservative, but your stance on Intellectual Property is quite anti conservative

What gives with the dishonesty?

Actually, the majority of your copied text included the sources I linked in my original article... But close enough.

It isn't your personal embarrassment or even your willingness to steal the work of others but rather your utter lack of respect for your fellow bloggers that concerns me.

What you did compromised the reputation of this website... a site others clearly take more seriously than you do. You owe THEM an apology as well.

Anyway - apology accepted.

Actually, property rights (including intellectual) is a conservative value. How is defending my work from plagiarism considered dishonest?

Considering plagiarism laws - stealing another person's written property is also against the values of the judicial system.

I'm glad to see Patricia Campion joined us cappers here at covers.com. Who do you like in the Nat'l Championship and what do you think the spread will be at kickoff?

Also, is posting someone's work on a pro-gambling website, even if it is word for word and not cited, plagerism or copyright infringement? Is slim selling this off as his own and making a profit? Is Slim completing his thesis and not documenting his sources?

To be or not to be...that is the question. I just made that up. I dare anyone who says I didn't make it up to sue me.

I guess if SJP said this was plagerism or copyright infringement then you guys would believe in her too.

I wish i could post all the rolling laughing heads that your reply deserves, but lets just say thats a real knee slapper

So as a conservative, you believe that the government should be here to protect your yahoo blogging? And how do you believe that we should fund that huge, unnecessary government?

So i guess you are also for decriminalizing all drugs, as a conservative, that is pro personal property rights, correct?

You sound more like a rent-seeking anti capitalist if you ask me, but so many of you so called CONservatives are quite confused these days, so ill give you a pass

Be and Rick, it sounds like you guys have no sense of humor what so ever, take everything way to seriously, and must live perfect lives to have never stereotyped before in your lives.

I congratulate you in being so politicaly correct these days.

If speaking my mind makes me an behind hole or as be called me "an idiot" then good for your judgement of me. Because it makes you a hypocrite if you're saying you don't do it either.

I'm not saying its the right thing to do, but its something everyone does. Not just in America, but all around the worlds.

Peace niggas!

It isn't "blogging" and I protected my article myself, thank you.
But it's okay that you don't understand the difference.

As for being a "rent seeking anti capitalist"... feel free to check out my profile from Yahoo News.

http://contributor.yahoo.com/user/1061337/patricia_campion.html

Among other things:

"Patricia is the founder of Kheprico, a residential re-development company inspired by the principle of "Paying It Forward." Her mission is not only transforming neglected and abandoned houses into extraordinary homes, but to make meaningful changes in the neighborhoods she enters and in the lives of those she meets there. In 2010, she was awarded the honor of Everyday Hero by the local news channel, Bay News 9 for her contributions to her community.

Patricia is also the co-owner of the 100% female owned financial consulting firm Smart Money Consulting, LLC which is a minority investor in HTwoO, LLC. HTwoO is the operating manager for Tomah Water, LLC, a Native American owned entity dedicated to producing premium, natural, bottled water and creating jobs for the benefit of the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township, Maine. "

But I am sure you will find fault with that too.
Keep your "pass".
You'll need it.

As a member of this community I appreciate your patience and professionalism on this matter. I personally find Slim's actions disgusting, and I'm glad you are (rightfully) targeting him and not the site.

It's nice to meet another rational conservative. They are few and far between around here, as you can tell by the opening post in this thread. So feel free to visit this site often and hold all posters in this forum to account.

Cheers
