i bought options on LVS DEC.2011 @ .91 and .65  a week ago... today LVS closed at 45.50 ..they reported earning after hours and stock is up to 47.35 after hours...question do you think it will go higher or will people take profits off of the rally?  I dont buy options as a rule ,so need your thoughts? or anyone else who has info on LVS

Brooklyn1, what was their guidance like?  Raised?  It all depends on the market rally, whether it is sustainable or not (IMO).  If the market comes crashing down, I don't see many stocks holding up unless it's defensive in nature like Dollar Tree and the likes.  If I recall correctly, there was a mutual fund based in Las Vegas called the Vice Fund ... .  these guys said the defense, tobacco, alcohol and gaming industries were more or less immune to general market conditions ... so their holdings consisted of stocks from these industry groups.  I beg to differ regarding that matter and outta these four sectors, the gaming group is much more prone to getting lit up because of the economy.  That's why I said what's their 'guidance'.  What do they expect in the near term future for them?  Now if the general markets hold up and the rally is intact, I see no reason for you to take profits so early.  Best of luck

I'm still holding LVS from $9.74 a couple years back.  Best stock I ever bought.  I still think it goes significantly higher.  $80 in a year.
