#2 Posted: 4/6/2011 11:06:56 AM I have a hard time selling the US.Yen due to the low prices and the issues which are facing Japan..their economy is going to hit the crapper for a few years due to this recent event.
The USM is so manipulated that it is hard to play the currencies except on the side of the manipulation, which is a very complex decision and I havent been able to make that trade..

#4 Posted: 4/6/2011 8:15:58 PM I know, I know..
I am sitting on another EU short and that darn AU trade from ages ago and havent been wanting to open a third.
I missed out on a 300 pip cover on the EU trade when they reversed it a few days ago.
How the EU keeps going higher with Portugal about to tip over, Greece etc is perplexing.. |

#10 Posted: 4/11/2011 11:25:33 AM buck,
I will have to check on the AU, but it has been like two years on that one..lol..I am in the 1.03 range after all the averaging I am quite sure. The EU trade I am I think at 1.43, that is rounding of course..and then you have the vig added in since both are a negative carry..you get what I mean.

#11 Posted: 4/11/2011 3:44:11 PM You guys still using the same method? I have just been range trading between fib levels, using a few other indicators, I can't remember if you guys ever got into fib?
anyway, looks like NZD/USD might be trying to break through the 161 fib level, It has been pearched above it for a bit and it is testing it now, Looks like a minor rejection with a small retracement on the 4hr candle. I entered a shot @ 7810 this afternoon.
On these small fib trades I have been taking profit if the retracement continues on the next candle, Usually between 10-25 pip range, it has been working pretty well lately.
i know you guys are more long term. might not be your cup of tea. |

#12 Posted: 4/11/2011 5:25:19 PM I use fib levels on my MT4 charts, its cool cause you dont have to plot points or anything...but weve talked about fib before they arent my main focus but they are indeed handy..MT4 is the coolest thing ever you can use indies that fit your style, hell they even have ones for my crosses it shows red arrows for sells or green ones for buys...i have 4-5 different setups i use with MT4 but i love crosses along with RSI and stochs for my entries
Should we start another thread i cant read all the posts with the sides being chopped!!!! |

is a good time to short EUR/USD in my opinion.
The pair is sitting right near it's highs, and Greece is on the brink of default. I think that Thurs and Fri are going to adjust to the speculation pressure.
I am short right now @ 1.4519 Wish I had a bit more to put on this one. |
