Its been good here last few weeks...i even got AUD to give me everything it cost me missing a week of trades...Im hooked on this stuff...i figured id have this room full of people by now on a site full of gamblers...i mean its 24 hr action

To each his own though,im happy knowing i got a few peoples eyes on this....hope it works out for U,Rick and WallYou guys certainly have a better grip than i do on the technical stuff..im still learning and looking through several styles/methods whatever but my garbage works i just have to stick to the rules and have the time to be able to watch the charts...it can be done ...and im going to do it

hey guys,

Been pretty busy lately,

what kind of machine did you get pop?

I put togeather a nice set up for myself a while ago.

nothing too fancy but 2  26"  monitors is clutch for checking out charts.

I like looking at the daily and 4hr and 1hr charts at the same time.

Whats up boys...i called off for tonight...woke up with a killer head migraine...

Pop i just been reading up on Elliott wave...like Wall said though theres a bunch of excuses for fails...but it offers large rewards when they work out well...looks like were on top of a wave now in AUD i cant decide on the count though....wave 3 usually the extended one and it looks like the push from 86 to now is the 3rd...this from the daily chart...Wall,Pop or Rick you guys care to offer up any thoughts on this????

AUD spiked on me its drifting lower though last 1 hr or so....not going to average unless i get down 100 pips...hr chart might have the DMIs cross lower so maybe that will drag it down some more here and  we'll see the +DMI be rejected from crossing up through the ADX on the 4hr.....otherwise i could see it go back to test the high around 9320...

Well AUD has just been floating from 9320 to 9280 since i jumped in a sell of the pair...charts still look ok but we have some data due out later and ive been searching for info on which direction they think the data will send this pair...what do you guys think?

I should have just entered a buy of EUR/GBP instead...saw some posters and an instuctor pointing out a shooting star that was completed on the monthly chart....theyre looking for a surge to 9160s b4 a pullback to the upper 80s...the pair has risen from 8950 to 9050 last 12 hrs or so....just a small chunk of that wouldve been a great trade...

Ok well i just found this from a mod on another board...what do you guys think?

Remains very well bid on any form of a dip with the underlying structure still grossly constructive. The market has most recently broken to fresh 2009 highs beyond 0.9330. However, given the overbought weekly studies, we are not entirely convinced of the current recovery rally and would not rule out the possibility for a major double top formation with the market failing to materially extend gains beyond 0.9330 and rolling back over through neckline support at 0.8905. The daily RSI has failed to confirm the latest bout of strength and we look for a break back below the current daily low at 0.9285 to confirm bias. STRATEGY: SELL @0.9280 (**Market currently above 0.9280; we are looking to sell downside break**) FOR AN OPEN OBJECTIVE; STOP 0.9410. RECOMMENDATION TO BE REMOVED IF NOT TRIGGERED BY NY CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY. POSITION SIZE WILL BE 3X LEVERAGED.

buck,

This is where I part ways with technical analysis and shooting stars/Elliot Wave theory etc..

I think technical analysis is a result of other functions and actions..and to prove my point all you need to do is look at how far overbought or oversold stocks or pairs or whatever can go and the indicator usually does not report the actual activity.

So to say there is a shooting star and Elliot Wave count is X and trying to say where a pair is going after the technical indicator works, well that just doesnt make sense to me.

News and correlative moves in the markets are what move pairs, until situations change to modify that correlation.

Bottom line, do we think the stock markets are going UP or DOWN?

If UP go long the associated pair/short if DOWN then take the appropriate actions..or do we think one currency will have a rate hike or easing? If so take action in accordance with that.

I think looking at the ODDS that the markets are overbought so I would feel better going long the USD pairs or long the YEN pairs and short the EU/AUD etc etc..

Thats my rant for the day.

i got a new studio XPS... pretty loaded as i upgraded most of the stuff (maybe why it takes so long) and got it with a 22 inch HD monitor (will be nice for viewing charts ).  i dont have a PS3 or blueray player so got that with it also, so i can use it to hook up to my TV and play bluerays.  anywyas, it'll beat the hell out of my laptop which is infected by about 100000000000000 viruses and other malware!  cant wait to get the new one and just clear everything out and reinstall windows on the laptop for a backup.

buck, i'll take a look at that chart when i get home from work.  im interested in elliot waves, but haven't had much time to read up and learn as i have been focusing on other aspects.

Wall im still trading based on crosses...i try not to get stuck when theres data coming i really didnt think id still be in this trade...looking over the chart i couldve improved my entry had i found the cross earlier...i could have got in this pair at 10:30 and been shrt just over 93...showing a high of 9320 b4 11 am....so again its just a matter of timing the cross held i just got a poor entry...hell i coulda had 9290 about 10 mins after i jumped in

Nice quick trades.

I saw that the markets reversed this morning, that turned the high beta pair down, like the AUD etc.
