Can you actually browse the forums with it?  That's the biggest pain I have.

Hey Lippsman,

We don't have the forum on there yet, but it's definitely a possibility. Keep the suggestions coming. It will make this product stronger.

Cheers

Thanks. I got it on my phone now.

I'll try the live scores on the Sox and Philly early game.

Why isn't there consensus for every matchup?

Why isn't there trends for every matchup?

Hey Wishi,

We talked to a few handicapping experts and they recommended that we only show the most valuable information. So we limited the consensus to any side or total in a matchup that had consensus of 67% or greater.

With Top Trends we also limited the information by only provided trends with 10 or more games and a 70% or greater trend within the matchup.

We think this is most valuable betting information for consensus and trends What do you think?

Cheers,
Mr C

I think that is really all you need. Any info with less data than that I really wouldn't trust anyway.

As Lippsman has said, this service would be awesome if you could surf the forums with it.  The forums are a pain to surf with my phone now. I would seriously consider subscribing if such a feature could be implemented.  Since this is a "free trial", I'm assuming this will eventually be a paid-for service?  Any idea on pricing?

Thanks for the feedback Lippsman.

Hey Highside107 we are running a free trial for a few months. Then we are going to add a few more features and have free components and paid components for mobile.

Eventually we want to feature custom alerts for odds, injuries, news, roster changes etc. So anything that could affect a betting strategy is right at your finger tips.

We are also investigating Mobile contests, video updates and fantasy player updates. The forum has also been added to the list from the feedback so far.

If there is anything else you would like to receive for mobile please tell us.

Cheers,
Mr_C

Pricing is unknown right now, but it would have to be pretty cheap $3-5 a month.

Actually I can surf the forums somewhat on Firefox mobile and I mean very somewhat. It usually crashes after a few clicks. But Pocket IE just won't work at all. I know it would be one hell of a pain for tech, considering we have so much flash and other scripts now.

Oh, BTW I use a Pocket PC/Sprint mobile phone.

I wish you guys would rather charge us a one time or yearly fee to use this site, and get covers mobile for free.  Would eliminate the spammers.

G8RB8,

The odds of Covers charging users to use the site is most likely not going to happen.  Until we find a better way to deal with these spammers all we can do is keep a close eye on everything at all time.  Also the assistance from the users helps a lot.

perugoon,

Yes, your device must be Java-enabled (be able to run java software).

Hey sg004591,

1. We may incorporate the My Experts section to the mobile phone so you can access your subscriptions to experts.covers.com

2. To use MyScores you go into the Live Scores section. Select the sport you want. Then once the matchups appear press the star key on your phone and a green circle will appear. The green circle means this matchup will now be shown on the My Scores section.

Hit the 9 key twice and go back to the main menu. Then go to the My Scores section. All the matchups you selected will then be shown there.

Thanks and Enjoy,
Mr_C
