#1 Posted: 10/30/2008 11:48:53 AM I purchased NBA League Pass for my Toshiba laptop... When watching the games the picture seems to stall. Is there any thing I can do to get a regular picture? Thanks in advance.

#6 Posted: 10/31/2008 9:00:48 AM NO My stream is fine on espn360 and on justin tv, but this NBA pass sucks... This is a free trial for a week then you purchase the whole season if you like it...I didn't know if some spyware/program/etc. or something else is causing a problem... Anything else I could try? Thanks for all your help.

#7 Posted: 10/31/2008 9:33:26 AM Well if 360 and justin is working well that pretty much narrows it down to the NBA side of things. But there are some other things we can do.
Download this and run a full scan. You may need to do it a couple of times |

#10 Posted: 10/31/2008 6:59:49 PM do you know anyone else using NBA League Pass via web? If so, are they having problems also?
Its possible the NBA.com servers are just getting overloaded w/ ppl this 1st week of the season during the trial and they have some technical issues to work out -- have you tried contacting their technical assistance/customer serv.?

#15 Posted: 11/1/2008 12:14:14 AM OK, just made it back.
Now onto step 2.
1. Click on start
2. Click on run
3. type msconfig
4. Hit enter
5. Click on the startup tab which should be the 2nd from the right.
Tell me how many programs are checked.
If there is someway you can do a screenshot, or copy and paste all of them here that would be great. If not, we can still work around it. |

#17 Posted: 11/1/2008 1:12:04 PM I thought we just did the add/remove programs. I didn't know we did msconfig ?
Also run that scan again, but this time do it in Safe mode without networking.
If you don't know, hit the f8 button before the Windows logo screen comes on to get to it |

#19 Posted: 11/2/2008 5:03:58 PM Well nothing is just scary, but there are a good bit of Toshiba programs in there.
The only possible fix I can tell you is to bump up your memory. But since you stated that you can see other streams without any problem I am thinking it's an NBA thing. I used it this weekend and my video was hit and miss. It was horrible around 8 my time but was better by the late games |

Yes, you can go ahead and do that. But uncheck them from msconfig instead of going to add/delete programs. That way if for some reason you needed one of them back you still have it |

#23 Posted: 11/3/2008 10:43:17 AM Oh good God.
Do you have an Ipod. If not, then kill that Apple stuff. I notice sarari is being used also. Again if you are not actually using it all the time then axe it.
Also you have a few media players. Take out the ones that you are not using. If you don't have a real hate for Windows Media player then axe the rest of them.
Again, take out these programs if you really don't use them. Even the google toolbar. Do you really need it? Do you have Open office also. If so you don't need Microsoft Office and Open office.
Arcsoft Software Suite AT&A Connection Services Manger micro works
google toolbar for int. exp google upd Apple Software Update Arcsoft Software Suite
openoffice installer 1
After you do this reboot and run defrag. Even if it says you don't need to. |

Is your computer connected directly to your modem or do you use a wireless router when watching the games?
My system did the same thing and it was extremely frustrating. The problem turned out to be my wireless router. I replaced it and now my connection speed is excellent.
If you are using a wireless router the first tip I would suggest is to change the channel it is broadcasting from. Also make sure there is a little yellow lock next to your network so other people can't use your router which will rob you of bandwith. If not setup the encryption so only you can log on or computers you want can log on. If you live in an apartment building or on a densely populated street it is a possibility that people are sharing your network without you knowing. When I was on the road for work, in the middle of nowhere, I would find a hotel and sit in the parking lot in the comfort of my car and link onto their network. I would do this to check my emails and see if there were any business issues that needed to be addressed and also to complete my paper work.
