Rat,   Just TVO'ed  "M" the other day. I think I may have seen it several years ago but not sure. Ever have that happen? I do that every once in awhile and often like the movie better the 2nd time around. In fact, I think "good movies" are often better the 2nd time around if you give them a few years. I doubt that was a unique thought.

I'm curious about "Infamous"?  I absolutely agree about Toby Jones! Always enjoy his work. (Looks like he is keeping that extra weight)  I read " In Cold Blood" twice (years apart) and didn't care for that Phil Hoffman movie. He probably did a good portrayal of Capote but Capote is a boring person to me. The movie was boring, too.

Have you heard the story about how he (Capote) claimed credit for Harper Lee's "To kill a Mockingbird"?

I think the movie is head and shoulders above Hoffman's Capote with Jones as Capote and a then relatively unknown Daniel Craig (in his last "before Bond" movie role) as the murderer Perry Smith.

Rat,    I've got to see "Infamous".  The way I remember it was that both movies came out a few weeks apart and of course Hoffmans' movie was lauded and the other disappeared. I had no idea D. Craig played Perry Smith. That peaks my interest. I thought the Perry Smith character was the best in the original movie. Dammit, can't remember the actors name.  R. Blake was good but... whatever.

D. Craig can carry a movie. I think the Bond movies are much more interesting with the more serious, realistic Bond. I hope they trend more to the Ian Fleming "Bond" and less to that cartoonish crap. I don't care for car chase, explosion, shoot 'um ups, to make a movie. I hadn't bothered with a "Bond" movie in 30 years until recently.  I don't blame Craig for doing them but wish they take advantage of him and make the movies closer to the original books. Not gonna happen but would like to see it.
