how's that american horror story.  i saw it got good reviews but if it's on a main network, i automatically assume it sucks and ignore it.

As bad as The Office is getting, I'm still going to watch.

Looking foward to Big Bang Theory and Boardwalk Empire.

Season one of American Horror Story set the bar pretty high. It told the beginning, middle, and end of that family's story. It'll be tough to get into a different story.

I'm scared...but only that it's trying for a season 2. The ending really felt like "THE END", ya know? Like The River...we don't need a season 2, we know everyone's fate.

(I'm trying not to have any spoilers in this post!)

But, like I said for the first season of American Horror Story, I'll watch it because FX hasn't put out a piece of trash yet. (Yeah...though I'm embarrassed to say...even that Charlie Sheen show has some laughs.)

I believe it will be a new story in season 2. Taking place in a mental institution.

I'm waiting for the second season of 2 Broke Girls.

Max and Caroline play waitresses. Max is a very dark, pessimistic character. Most of her comedy comes from not knowing her real father and hating her mother. (Well...I said she is dark...) Caroline is the naive character but she is definitely not an airhead. She was rich but lost everything when her father stole millions of his clients' investments...a story ripped right out of the headlines.

Generally, that's what makes a great sitcom...it holds up the current political climate or current values of a society and laughs at them: All in the Family, Roseanne, Family Ties, even I Love Lucy. You know what it's like to live in the 50's just by watching a goofy sitcom. I really think this sitcom will stand the test of time and be compared to some of the best.

The writing is perfect. It's so focused. This show never has an episode where "it forgets what it is". (Best way I can describe it.)

It's not made for my demographic...guy in his 40's. But I love that this show has a point of view and is funny...sometimes bitterly funny.

Check it out if you haven't...

Damn...I kind of rambled on there...

...and now I talked it up so much that everyone is going to watch one episode expecting the greatest show of all time and be disappointed.

This will be the last season of The Office as it should.

Most of the original characters are leaving or have left already.  End it before it gets worse.

Seasons 1-5 were top notch comedy.

I've seen the show here and there.  It's OK.  The laughs are pretty cheap.  Nothing special.  It's between How I met your mother, big bang theory and mike&molly.  All better comedies.

Doctor Who on BBC America season seven starts Saturday September 1st with Matt Smith as "The Doctor". been a SciFi fav of mine going back to 1970's version on PBS with first Jon Pertwee and then Tom Baker in the title roll.

also watched the first episode of the new BBC America show "Copper" and it was pretty good. IF you liked the movie "Gangs of New York" you would probably like it.
